NEW: PARENT EDUCATION EVENT

Join us on Tuesday, Oct. 8th for a districtwide parent education event regarding the fentanyl crisis and its impact on teens. There will be a screening of a documentary from the nonprofit organization Song for Charlie followed by a question and answer panel. Panelists will include Outreach Coordinator from Song for Charlie Laura Didier, LLHS Principal Heather Thorner, LLHS Wellness Coordinator Amelia Whalen, and other community experts. The event will take place from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the Las Lomas High School Theater. All parents within AUHSD and parents from partner districts are welcome to attend. Please use this link if you are interested in attending. RSVP is not required but is helpful for our planning. 


NEW: CPC BOOKCLUB

Would you like to gain valuable perspectives and insights on college admissions? Please join us for our fall Campo Parents Bookclub. The topic is college admissions and the books we will be discussing are: Who Gets In And Why, A Year Inside College Admissions, by Jeffrey Selingo and Where You Go Is Not Who You’ll Be, by Frank Bruni. Join us as we delve into the intricacies of the world of college admissions. The meeting will be held at the Campo Library one evening in early Nov. (Exact date and time TBD.)


NEW: RUN FOR EDUCATION

The Lafayette Res Run For Education is on Oct. 20th at the Lafayette Reservoir. There are 10K, 5K and 2K options. Proceeds benefit local schools including Campo, so make sure to mention Campo if you sign up. For more info and to register, click HERE.

CAMPUS CLEAN UP EVENT

Interested in helping the environment, beautifying Campolindo's campus, and building community? Join us this Saturday, Oct. 5th, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Parents and students are invited to volunteerStudents can earn up to four volunteer hours. There will be options to mulch, garden, and possibly more! Wear sneakers and gardening clothes. Bring gloves, a rake or hedge clippers if you have them (but not necessary). Meet at the entrance to the Campo garden near the Senior Parking Lot. Yearbooks are on sale! Order yours HERE and use school code 6377 before prices go up on Oct. 31st. Yearbooks have sold out in the past so make sure to order now!


Yearbook is looking for any summer vacation photos to possibly include in the yearbook. It could be on your summer travels or just lounging in the backyard. Send them to campolindoyearbook@auhsdschools.org. JPEGs preferred. Please do not send pictures with .heic extensions. We are also looking for any other photos if you have them.

STUDENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

Volunteer at the Lafayette Junior’s Rummage Sale! Lafayette Juniors is a non-profit organization made up of local women dedicated to raising funds and offering service in support of other non-profits in need within the San Francisco Bay Area. Earn volunteer hours by helping setup for our annual Rummage Sale on Friday, Oct. 4th after school until 6 pm. Setup for the rummage sale will be held at the Lafayette Orinda Presbyterian Church, 49 Knox Dr., Lafayette, CA. More information can be found HERE.

WELCOME TO BOYS SOCCER

While our season does not begin until November, Pick Up Sessions start in September. Please mark your calendar if your son is thinking about trying out for the team. Additionally, please add the Preseason Lunch meetings with Coaches to your calendars. If you have any questions about the program, please reach out to Stephanie Helder or Shaun Paul.

  • Pick Up Session Dates: Saturday, Oct. 12th; Saturday, Oct. 26th from 11 am-1 pm
  • Preseason Meetings in the Campo Small Gym @ lunch: Monday, Oct. 21st and Oct. 28th from 12:50-1:15 pm 
  • 2024-2025 Tryout Dates: Nov. 4th-7th, 2024 (Monday through Thursday)

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Calling all 6th thru 8th graders! Up your game by signing up for Volleyball Clinics hosted by the Campolindo HS Girls Volleyball Program. Saturdays, Oct. 5th, and Oct. 12th at Campo HS Gyms from 12-2 pm. $75 per 2-hour clinic. Coached by Campo coaches and athletes. Sign up for as many days as you like. SIGN UP HERE! 


NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT RECOGNITION CEREMONY

Campolindo will be holding its Fall NLI Recognition Ceremony, Nov. 13th at 12:50 (Lunchtime). If your student athlete is planning on signing an NLI and would like to participate in the ceremony, please email the student athlete's name, sport and college to AD Ray Meadows. We wlil be holding another ceremony in the Spring for athletes that will be signing later in the year. 


CAMPO SPORTS PHYSICALS/ATHLETIC CLEARANCES 

If your student will be playing a WINTER or SPRING Campo sport and has not yet completed the required Athletic Clearance (either with their family physician or at the last on-campus event in July), Campo Athletic Boosters is hosting another Sports Physicals/Athletic Clearance event at Campo on Oct. 21st, starting at 6:15 p.m.

Upstanding Athlete Award: Campo Leadership is accepting nominations for student- athletes in the Campo community to be recognized for acts of leadership, service and courage. The Upstanding Athlete Award is a chance to recognize the amazing things that our athletes do outside of their athletic achievements. Beyond just winning games, Campolindo athletics also strives to create athletes who are upstanding members and leaders in our community. This award is a way for fellow athletes, coaches, and parents to nominate athletes to be recognized for the great things they are doing off of the field courand pool. If you know of an athlete that is deserving of such recognition please fill out the form below to nominate a student-athlete:

FOR ADMISSIONS

For schools requiring a transcript as part of the application process, Campolindo transcripts must be formally requested in the Campolindo Web Store. Detailed instructions are on the Web Store/Transcripts and there is no charge to send. No transcripts will be sent until the Student Counselor Survey, Parent Brag Sheet(s), and Resume/portfolio is completed in MaiaLearning. UCs/CSUs/CA Community Colleges do not require an official transcript, counselor recommendation, or a teacher letter of recommendation. If your child is applying to CA public schools only, this does process does not apply to you. For questions, please have your student stop by the College & Career Center.

What services are provided for students? 

  • Students can participate in a variety of services including mental health counseling, support and empowerment groups, referrals to community agencies and more. Wellness services provided to students are free and confidential. Students can also drop-in to the Wellness Center before/after school, lunch/brunch, and for short breaks if needed. 

How do I refer a student to the Wellness Center? 

  • You can refer a student to the Wellness Center by completing the online referral form or contacting the Wellness Center via email. You can also refer students by contacting the student's School Counselor.

Wednesday, Oct. 9th is the Miramonte LatinX Heritage Festival from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. in the Student Union. We would like to invite all of you to enjoy cultural booths and activities, as well as food trucks, live music, dancers, and more!

Homecoming Week is coming up October 15-20th! A huge part of homecoming is hallway decorating; this is where our freshman theme "Night in New York" comes to life in a Campo hallway to be on display all week! Thank you to those that have already attended building parties, and donated to homecoming. But we still need help! Here are the SUG for Saturday, Oct. 5thSunday, Oct. 6th, and installation day on Sunday, Oct. 13th. If you can't attend, please think of donating to offset the costs of supplies.
