NEW: AUHSD GOVERNING BOARD MEETING SPECIAL MEETING:

JAN. 13TH, 2025

The public is welcome to attend this 7 p.m. Open Session regarding interviews and the appointment of a new Governing Board Member for our High School District. This meeting will be conducted in person at the District Community Room. It will also be live streamed through the AUHSD website. Agenda and supporting documents and are best viewed using Mozilla Firefox or Chrome.

Items of interest to the public include:

Members of the public may offer their public comment to the Governing Board regarding the candidates. Public comment may be offered in writing or in person at the meeting prior to 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 13th.  Please complete this form for submission to the Governing Board.

NEW: CHS SPECIAL EDUCATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE COLLEGE NIGHT

Join Ms. Joan Batcheller, DVC, Sonoma State, and the Campolindo Special Education Advisory Committee on Jan. 23rd to learn about possible next steps for your (soon to be) graduating student. The group will present information about admissions, disability services, and other possible pathways for students. Please join us at 6pm in the Library Student Center.

NEW: CAMPOLINDO OPEN HOUSE

Families of all incoming 9th graders, current rising sophomores, juniors and seniors are encouraged to join us on Jan. 30th for Open House. Come learn and celebrate what Campo has to offer as well as to meet new families and connect with old friends. Food trucks (Offie's Kitchen, PanCoast Pizza, and King Gyro) will be on site at 5 p.m., so bring the family!

CAMPO PARENTS CLUB MONTHLY MEETING: JAN. 14TH, 2025 6-7:30 PM

Start off the new year with us! Our Jan. 14th, 2025 meeting will be in the EVENING from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Campo Library. This will include presentations on Generative AI in High School: Opportunities, Challenges, and Next Steps and Campo Course Selections and Pathways for the 2025-2026 Academic Year. This meeting is open to ALL current Campo parents and guardians. Please join us! Agenda can be found HERE. CAMPO PHYSICS ENGINEERING CLUB

Chang Yu, Helena Linnen, and MarcAnthony Paolieri Della Monica from

Campolindo’s Physics and Engineering Club traveled to San Juan, Puerto Rico on

Dec. 5th, 2024, as honorees of the American Society of Gravitational and Space

Research Conference. The students won first place in the 2024 NASA Drop Tower

Challenge with their paper, “Spherical Prototype Analysis Experiencing Microgravity in

Frictionless Freefall”. They also presented at the Undergraduate Student poster session

and were honored for their accomplishment during the society’s Banquet and Awards

Ceremony. In attendance for Honorable Mention were Campolindo students Liam B.

Harju and Alexander Chng.

CAMPO SERVICE AWARDS--KEEP TRACK OF YOUR VOLUNTEER HOURS 

Students who volunteer for 30 or more hours in the community may be eligible for a 2024-25 Volunteer Service Award. Completed hours and applications will be accepted no later than April 18th, 2025. Thank you to everyone who made your contribution before the end of the tax year! MEF has raised over $1.9M so far this year and is 64% toward its $3M goal! Campo's family participation level is 39%. The Giving Campaign continues until the end of May, so if you haven't made your contribution yet, we need you to help us meet our goal! Every Campo student benefits from MEF grants, so we hope every Campo family will participate at the level that is right for them. Learn more about how you can support your child's Campo education HERE!

NEW: WINTER/SPRING SPORT ATHLETES 

Winter Sport athletes that wish to try out for a Spring sport need to contact the head coach of the Spring sport to communicate their interest in trying out. Regarding the overlap of Winter and Spring sports seasons; athletes need to finish their current season of sport and then they will be allowed to try out AFTER their current season finishes.

NEW: FEMALE STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING FEMALE  

The Campo Athletic Boosters is sponsoring a (free) Female Strength and Conditioning Program in Campo's Weight Room. Open to any Campo Students. No experience necessary. Meet at the weight room in workout attire. Monday and Wednesday: 4:30-5:30 p.m. Starts on Monday, Jan. 13th.

NEW: BOYS VARSITY TENNIS IMPORTANT DATES COMING UP

• Feb. 10th-12th: Tryouts begin 10 minutes after dismissal until dark
• Feb. 13th-14th: JV tryouts
• Feb. 14th: Varsity training begins (time TBD)
• Feb. 15th & 17th: Mandatory varsity team practice (time TBD)
• Feb. 17th: Mandatory varsity team parent info meeting and coach presentation (6 p.m.)

NEW: CAMPO BASEBALL

Baseball team tryouts will run from Monday, Feb. 10th - Friday, Feb. 14th immediately after school until 6 p.m. and will meet on the Varsity field. For questions, email campolindobaseball@gmail.com.

NEW: TRACK PARENT MEETING 

All athletes must be represented at this important informational meeting hosted via Zoom on Wednesday, Jan. 15th, at 6 p.m. This meeting will cover athlete eligibility requirements, team policies, and team gear ordering for the 2025 spring season. Athletes must be sure to have an XCSTATS ACCOUNT set up that includes a valid parent email. The parent meeting Zoom link will be sent via the XCStats mailing list.

NEW: TRACK AND FIELD 

Track and Field is open to all levels of experience and ability. With 16 different events, including sprints, hurdles, jumps, throws, and distance, there is something for everyone. Athletes must complete all eligibility requirements listed on the team website ASAP: www.campotrack.com.

CAMPO ATHLETICS REGISTRATION

Athletes need to be cleared on Sportsnet in order to try out or to start practicing. To register for Campo Athletics click HERE. This only needs to be done once a school year, but it needs to be redone EVERY school year.

CHECK YOUR PORTALS

Each college you apply to will ask you to open a portal via email, please open and check your portals often. This is where you track all information regarding your application; decisions, additional information requests, and in some cases special scholarship opportunities. We ask that students avoid checking portals or discussing decisions during class time, and parents, kindly refrain from texting students with updates during school hours. This can add unnecessary stress to an already emotional time. 

HAVE YOU BEEN WAITLISTED OR DEFERRED?

DO YOU NEED TO SEND MID-YEAR TRANSCRIPTS?

Check your portals! If colleges require mid-year transcripts (1st-semester Senior grades), DO NOT request another transcript through MAIALearning and/or the Webstore. Grades will not be posted until the Friday you return from break. Your counselors will be reaching out with a process to request transcripts, if needed mid-January.

HAVE YOU WRITTEN YOUR THANK YOU NOTES TO TEACHERS?

Please write a note of appreciation to the teacher(s) who took the time to write you a letter of recommendation. We have “Thank You Cards” available in CCC if you want to come by during brunch/lunch or 7th. 

HAVE YOU UPDATED YOUR MAIALearning?

Please see the steps below to update your MAIALearning; delete schools you are no longer applying to, select the program within the college you applied to, and record admissions status (i.e., accepted, waitlisted, deferred, denied). This data is critical for the accuracy of the MAIALearning Analysis tabs by school (formerly Scattergrams in Naviance). 

1. Login to MaialLearing. Click on the Universities (left-hand navigation). 
2. Click on the Decisions (top navigation bar)
3. For each school on you list, click on the three-dots, under Actions
4. Complete Application Status for the University and Select College in University using the drop-down menus for each. You DO NOT need to complete the Set Flags section. 
5. Please delete any schools you DID NOT apply to: Go to back to the Universities tab, Click on the school you did not apply to, click three-dots next to "request transcript” button, click delete.
