We had a successful Week of Giving last week! Thanks to the Campo Leadership students and Ms. Webb-Peploe for showing up with signs and balloons and lots of spirit during Wednesday’s drop off to thank MEF donors and raise awareness of the impact of MEF donations at Campo for all students. Results from the Week of Giving will be sent out soon. Because of the commitment of those who came before us, our local public schools are among the best in the country! NEW: AUHSD GOVERNING BOARD MEETING 

This meeting will be conducted in person at the District Community Room on Oct. 16th at 7 p.m. It will also be livestreamed through the AUHSD website. The agenda and supporting documents will be available online before the meeting. NEW: FINALS FUEL FOR FALL 2024

Finals Fuel will be Wednesday, Dec. 18th and Friday, Dec. 20th. Finals Fuel is a wonderful Campo tradition during finals week when Campo parents fund and distribute +10,000 delicious snacks to hungry and grateful students between their final exams. We are a 100% parent-supported activity and we need your help! Here is how you can help: Purchase snacks directly from Amazon and Costco, donate money via Venmo: @Randi-Kofman or PayPal @RandiKofman. NEW: TEAM CAMPOST

Looking to give back to your school? Join Team Campost. Students may earn community service hours credit for helping their classmates learn how to sort their waste during lunchtime. Students may check in with Mr. Seligman in Tech2 (Video/Engineering classroom) at the beginning of lunch to get started.


NEW: SCOUTING AMERICA TROOP 402  

Troop 402 is accepting new members and welcoming all youth identifying as female, trans and gender non-conforming, ages 11-17. Scouts will experience thrilling outdoor adventures, leadership opportunities, commitment to community service, personal development and strong bonds and camaraderie. The troop is based on a culture of inclusivity, kindness and support where every scout is valued and encouraged by their fellow scouts. Come join us at one of our meetings every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., 3502 School Street, Lafayette, CA. Contact Heather Tzortzis or check out troop402.org for more info. 


CPC BOOKCLUB

Would you like to gain valuable perspectives and insights on college admissions? Please join us for our fall Campo Parents Bookclub. The topic is college admissions and the books we will be discussing are: Who Gets In And Why, A Year Inside College Admissions, by Jeffrey Selingo and Where You Go Is Not Who You’ll Be, by Frank Bruni. Join us as we delve into the intricacies of the world of college admissions. Meeting will be held at the Campo Library on Wednesday, Nov. 6th from 7- 8:30 p.m.

AP EXAMS

AP Exams are now available for purchase through the Campo Webstore now until

Nov. 10th. Students must sign up for their correct class section. Please see HERE for more information.


HOMECOMING DANCE

The big night is almost here: Saturday, Oct. 19th. Admission is $20 or free with a student's Campo ASB card. Permission slips for non-Campo student guests must be turned in by October 17th.

RUN FOR EDUCATION

The Lafayette Res Run For Education is on Oct. 20th at the Lafayette Reservoir. There are 10K, 5K and 2K options. Proceeds benefit local schools including Campo, so make sure to mention Campo if you sign up. For more info and to register, click HERE.

Visit the Campo Webstore to purchase this wonderful poster featuring Campolindo student artists. The poster is celebrating Moraga's 50th year anniversary. Proceeds benefit the Campolindo Sustainable Garden.

YEARBOOK INFORMATION

Yearbooks are on sale! Order yours HERE and use school code 6377 before prices go up on Oct. 31st. Yearbooks have sold out in the past so make sure to order now!


Yearbook is looking for any photos of your students to possibly include in the yearbook. It could be on your summer travels or just lounging in the backyard. Send them to campolindoyearbook@auhsdschools.org. JPEGs preferred. Please do not send pictures with .heic extensions. We are also looking for any other photos if you have them.

WINTER SPORTS START NOVEMBER 4th

Athletes need to be cleared on Sportsnet in order to try out or to start practicing. To register for Campo Athletics click HERE. Fall sport athletes that wish to try out for a winter sport need to contact the head coach of the winter sport to communicate their interest in trying out. Regarding the overlap of fall and winter sports seasons, athletes need to finish their current season of sport and then they will be allowed to try out AFTER their current season finishes. For team specific information including tryout dates and practice times please go to: campoathletics.com.


WELCOME TO BOYS SOCCER

While our season does not begin until November, Pick Up Sessions start in September. Please mark your calendar if your son is thinking about trying out for the team. Additionally, please add the Preseason Lunch meetings with Coaches to your calendars. If you have any questions about the program, please reach out to Stephanie Helder or Shaun Paul.

NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT RECOGNITION CEREMONY

Campolindo will be holding its Fall NLI Recognition Ceremony, Nov. 13th at 12:50 (Lunchtime). If your student athlete is planning on signing an NLI and would like to participate in the ceremony, please email the student athlete's name, sport and college to AD Ray Meadows. We wlil be holding another ceremony in the Spring for athletes that will be signing later in the year. 


CAMPO SPORTS PHYSICALS/ATHLETIC CLEARANCES 

If your student will be playing a WINTER or SPRING Campo sport and has not yet completed the required Athletic Clearance (either with their family physician or at the last on-campus event in July), Campo Athletic Boosters is hosting another Sports Physicals/Athletic Clearance event at Campo on Oct. 21st, starting at 6:15 p.m.

FOR ADMISSIONS

For schools requiring a transcript: Be sure to toggle the “Transcript Request” button for each school in MaiaLearning/Universities/Applying list. Next, go to the Campolindo Web Store to formally request. There is no fee for transcripts. HERE is a “How-To” video created by Mr. Magno walking families through the process. Please also be sure to fill out the Student Counselor Survey, Parent Brag Sheet(s), and Resume/portfolio in MaiaLearning for your counselor recommendation.  


Note: UCs/CSUs/CA Community Colleges do not require an official transcript, counselor recommendation, or a teacher letter of recommendation. Please have your student stop by the College & Career Center if you have questions.

CAMPOLINDO WELLNESS CENTER

NEW: SENIOR WELLNESS WEEK

Senior Wellness Week is Oct. 28th - Nov. 1st. Our Wellness Team will have activities at lunch on Monday and Tuesday, at brunch on Tuesday and Thursday, and a raffle at brunch on Friday to help alleviate some of the stress our seniors feel during this time of year.


NEW: VIRTUAL PARENT EDUCATION EVENT 

There will be a virtual parent education night on Nov. 13th for those who could not attend the Song for Charlie in person event last week. More info to come. Campo 10th, 11th, and 12th graders will receive a presentation during Academy on Nov. 13th, similar to the presentation to last year's seniors. The plan going forward is to have all 10th graders have the presentation in the fall, which is why current 9th graders are not included in the presentation this year.


NEW: ITEM DONATIONS 

The Wellness Center is looking for donations of 1-2 cornhole sets and a Cricut Machine for use in the Wellness Center. Please contact Amy Spillane if you are able to donate.

Seniors, pick up your homecoming shirts in the quad at lunch on Wednesday. We will have a limited amount of shirts for sale. $22- cash or Venmo. Seniors are advised to wear their Hoco shirts or a black t-shirt to the rally on Friday.

Senior parents and kids, THANK YOU, for all your hard work on the Homecoming hall decorating, t-shirt and mural.
