ANNOUNCEMENTS

NEW: CAMPO FINALS FUEL Final exams are coming up and that means we need Finals Fuel! This is a wonderful Campo tradition during finals week when parents hand out healthy snacks (donated by YOU!) to hungry and grateful students between their final exams. We are 100% parent supported, so please sign up to donate snacks, money, or hand out snacks during finals week on Tuesday, December 13 and Thursday, December 15 from 10:15-10:50am. This is a quick and rewarding way to support and encourage all students during a stressful time. Click here to sign up.


NEW: AUHSD ALL SCHOOLS & COMMUNITY EVENT There will be a Latinx/Indigenous People's Festival at Miramonte High School on November 9, 5:30-7:30pm. This is a free event for the community. Click here for more info.

THE INS & OUTS OF THE COLLEGE ADMISSIONS PROCESS November 1, 12:00-1:00pm. The Rotary Club of Moraga will present this talk by Annie Wells, Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Vanderbilt University. Co-sponsored by AUHSD and the Moraga School District. CAMPO PARENTS BOOKCLUB Please join us for the fall meeting of the CPC Bookclub. The book we will be discussing is: The Parent Compass, Navigating Your Teen’s Wellness and Academic Journey in Today’s Competitive World by Cynthia Clumeck Muchnick and Jenn Curtis. REMINDER: CAMPO SERVICE AWARDS--KEEP TRACK OF YOUR HOURS Students who volunteer in the community may be eligible for a Service Award. ATHLETICS NEWS

NEW: WINTER SPORTS START MONDAY, OCTOBER 31 Basketball, Soccer, and Wrestling all start on Monday, October 31. Please make sure your athlete is cleared to participate on Sportsnet by following the instructions on the Registration page of Campoathletics.com. NEW: GIRLS BEACH VOLLEYBALL Are you interested in playing Beach Volleyball for Campo? Come to an informational meeting on Tuesday October 25 in room G5 at lunch, 1:25pm. Please email Athletic Director, Ray Meadows if you are unable to attend the meeting, but you are interested in playing. 


NEW: CONTRACTOR INPUT NEEDED The Campo Athletic Boosters is working with a few Campo sports teams to scope out potential improvements to some of our athletic areas. We're in need of a contractor to help us with design--and estimates--for some of the work we're considering. NLI NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT RECOGNITION CEREMONY - FALL

If your student athlete will be signing a National Letter of Intent this Fall and would like to be recognized in our Fall NLI 'Unofficial' Recognition Ceremony, please contact Athletic Director Raymond Meadows. More details regarding the date of the ceremony coming soon. We will also be holding a Spring NLI "Unofficial" Recognition Ceremony for all athletes that sign later in the year. 


BOYS SOCCER IMPORTANT DATES COMING UP

UPDATE: RESCHEDULED CAREER COACHING SESSION PART 2 Due to a rally, the second Career Coaching session has been rescheduled to October 26, during Academy in room E9. Affected students have been notified by email and tagged in Teachmore.  Registered students who are unable to attend the new date should email Cathy Eberhardt.


NEW: FREE WEBINAR Line-by-Line Guidance for Financial Aid Forms--October 26, 5:00pm PST. College Aid Pro is offering a free workshop with their experts to cover both applications in real-time and answer all accompanying questions. Register here. Those that can’t make it live but still register will receive the recording and slide deck.  In addition they created a “FAFSA Survivor Kit.”  This is for families that are comfortable doing the forms on their own but could use some additional resources. 


NEW: FOREIGN STUDENT FAMILY NIGHT, November 3, 6:30-7:30pm. The new Foreign Student Union is inviting the families of any student whose parents were born in another country to join them for a fun family social gathering. Appetizers will be provided.  RSVP and sign up to bring a dessert of your choice. Register here.


CHICO STATE UNIVERSITY VIRTUAL APPLICATION INFORMATION SESSIONS The Fall 2023 application window at Chico State has opened. Students should apply by the December 15 deadline. In these virtual sessions an admissions counselor will provide an overview of the application and answer any questions. Register here.

NEW: WELLNESS PARENT ED SERIES On Wednesday 10/26 from 6-7pm, Jamie Rich (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) and April Rovero (President of the National Coalition Against Prescription Drug Abuse) will present on The Power of Parents: Navigating Substance Use and the Fentanyl Epidemic With Your Teen. Register here. See flyer for more info.


SENIOR WELLNESS WEEK The Wellness Center is hosting our second annual Senior Wellness Week October 24th-28th. We know this can be a stressful time for our hardworking seniors and we want to provide them with some self-care activities and treats during brunch and lunch. Here is what we have planned so far:

  • Monday: tile painting
  • Tuesday: hot cocoa 
  • Wednesday: yoga & therapy dogs
  • Thursday: spa water & parfaits
  • Friday: raffle & celebration!

Seniors will receive a raffle ticket for every event they attend. We will be raffling off a ton of great prizes on Friday! Gift cards and goodies galore :). More specifics to come, so tell your students to follow our Instagram @campowellness for updates!

CAMPOLINDO DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION, AND BELONGING

SUPPORTING ASIAN TEEN WELL-BEING FOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS If you are an Asian, South Asian, or Asian American Identifying parent/guardian, please join us for an affinity space! We will be discussing parenting teens and what family wellness looks like. How does our family of origin and culture influence our approach to mental health and parenting? Please join us for this interactive workshop on Tuesday, November 1st, 7pm, in the Campolindo Library.
