Please join us this Wednesday, Nov. 6th, from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Campolindo library to discuss the intricacies of college admissions. We will be discussing: Who Gets In And Why, A Year Inside College Admissions, by Jeffrey Selingo and Where You Go Is Not Who You’ll Be, by Frank Bruni. Even if you haven’t read the books and you’re just interested in the topic, your presence is more than welcome. Hope to see you there!
NEW: CAMPUS CLEAN UP EVENT - NEW DATE
We have a new date for the Campus Clean Up Event that was postponed because of excessive heat in October. NEW DATE: Saturday, Nov. 16th, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Interested in helping the environment, beautifying Campolindo's campus, and building community? Parents and students are invited to volunteer and join us. Students can earn up to four volunteer hours. There will be options to mulch, garden, and possibly more! Wear sneakers and gardening clothes. Bring gloves, a rake or hedge clippers if you have them (but not necessary). Meet at the entrance to the Campo garden near the Senior Parking Lot. NEW: AUHSD GOVERNING BOARD MEETING
This meeting will be conducted in person at the District Community Room and is open to the public. It will also be live streamed through the AUHSD website. Items of interest to the public will include the 2023-2024 Assessment Report (Graduation Rates, UC/CSU Course Completion Rates, Standardized Tests for College Admissions, and College Admissions Profile.)

NEW: FENTANYL AWARENESS VIRTUAL PARENT EDUCATION NIGHT
Laura Didier, Outreach Specialist for the nonprofit, Song For Charlie, will present valuable information about the fentanyl crisis and share the story of her son who tragically lost his life to a fentanyl laced pill. NEW: BOOK COLLECTION
The National Charity League Acalanes Senior Class 2025 is collecting new and gently used books for children aged toddlers-early high school. The books will be donated and utilized as part of our "Sweet Dreams" Senior Class Project supporting Hope Solutions. Hope Solutions provides emergency support for unhoused individuals and families in Contra Costa County. Beginning Tuesday, Nov. 5th, through Friday, Nov. 22nd, donations can be dropped off in the Campolindo A-hall in a box labeled "Hope Solutions Book Drive." NEW: FRIENDS OF MORAGA SCHOOLS INFORMATION SESSION
MEF has established a new program for donors who do not currently have children in the Moraga schools: Friends of Moraga Schools. Donors who become Founding Members or Golden Pear Founding Members receive special benefits. Learn more in this video. If your youngest child is a senior this year, or if you have friends or family members who do not have kids in the schools currently, please attend this information where you will learn about school funding in CA, why community support is so critical, and the details of this new program. Yearbook is looking for any photos of your students to possibly include in the yearbook. It could be on your summer travels or just lounging in the backyard.
