ANNOUNCEMENTS

NEW: FALL INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC CONCERT Please join the Concert Band, Orchestra, and Wind Ensemble for their fall concert this Thursday, November 16 at 7pm in the CPAC. Admission is free. After the concert we will have refreshments in the MUR. Instrumental music parents, please sign up here to donate desserts and help with the concert. 


CPC BOARD MEETING The next CPC board meeting will be tomorrow, November 14 at 9am in the Campo Library. Parents and guardians are welcome to attend. Agenda can be found here and is also posted on the CPC website.


PICTURE RETAKES Make up or retake pictures will take place on Tuesday, November 14 in the CPAC lobby between 10:30am-12pm. This is the last opportunity to take your picture.


STUDENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED LP's PTA is looking for student volunteers for their STEM Festival on Tuesday, November 14. Volunteers can sign up for one or both sessions (6-6:50pm and 7-7:50pm). Sign up to volunteer here or contact academics@lppta.org for more information. Earn your volunteer hours and get free pizza!


SENIOR PANORAMA & SENIOR PORTRAITS Don't forget! Senior Panorama is on Wednesday, November 15 during the first half of Academy in the Big Gym. Wear your senior shirts! If you have not yet scheduled an appointment for your senior portrait, make sure you do by contacting Studio One. Appointments run through January 10. Last day to select your portrait for the yearbook is January 15


CAMPO HOLIDAY COOKIE & TREAT EVENT Join the holiday fun! We would love to thank each of our 150 staff with a plate of 2 dozen homemade cookies and treats. For this event to be a success, we need 100 volunteers to donate 2 dozen cookies or treats on Friday, December 8 by 9am to the staff conference room. Ten volunteers are also needed to help assemble the plates of cookies from 9:00am-12:00pm on Friday, December 8. Thanks in advance for joining the fun! Sign up here.


FINALS FUEL NEEDS YOU November is here and finals are coming up fast! We know it’s a crazy time of year but we are off to a SLOW start and we need your help to make Finals Fuel happen. Please consider donating cash [Venmo: @Randi-Kofman, PayPal @RandiKofman] or purchasing directly from our Amazon registry. We are 100% parent funded and WE CANNOT DO IT WITHOUT YOU. Thank you.


LEADERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENTS Here are some of the latest happenings on campus.

  • CULTURAL FAIR There will be a cultural fair at lunch in the big gym on November 15. Any club or person is welcome to participate.
  • NEW CLUB WEBSITE Visit campolindohighschoolclubs.com to learn about over 130 clubs on campus! It's never too late to join a club!
  • CANNED FOOD DRIVE STARTS WEDNESDAY Cash donations will be collected every 5th period until December 11. Class with the most cans wins a pizza party (both overall and per capita)! Classes can also win candy for 1,000 cans, baked goods for 1,500, and an ice cream party for 2,000! One dollar=3 cans and you can also donate online and physical cans (but cash is preferred).
  • CULTIVATE THINKING CLUB TEACHER TRAINING Monday at lunch in B7. Make sure to sign up if you want to be eligible to teach lessons–no experience needed.
  • CHOCOLATE & CHESS Come to E9 on Monday at lunch in E9! There will be hot chocolate and chess for both players and spectators!

CAMPOLINDO TOURS FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS Tours will be offered to prospective students and their families on November 15, December 6, February 7, March 6, and April 3. The tours will visit a variety of classrooms and featured locations on campus, followed by a Q&A at the end. Tours meet in “A Hall West” outside the Attendance Office at 3:30pm. Please email Mrs. Sliwinski to reserve a spot for a tour. 

ATHLETICS NEWS

NEW: ATHLETIC PE All 10th & 11th Grade Winter Athletes planning to earn PE Credit through the Athletic PE Program must submit a completed & signed Contract/Application to the file folders in the Counseling office prior to the winter deadline, Friday 11/17/23. This will enroll you into a Canvas Course where you can monitor your Weekly Time Card hours until you reach the required 70 activity hours. Time Cards are due to the Counseling Office on a weekly basis starting with the first week of tryouts/practice (Week of 10/30).


NEW: BASEBALL OPEN FIELDS AND WEIGHTS The Campo Baseball Team will have Open Fields on Friday after school during the winter season. These Open Fields are open to all students who might be interested in trying out for baseball in the spring. The baseball team is also doing weights at Campo on Mondays and Wednesdays. If you are interested in participating, contact Coach Julian Fiammengo and campolindobaseball@gmail.com.

Monday, November 13--Campo Boys Soccer is hosting Jesse Bethel High at Bob Wilson Stadium. JV game kicks off at 5pm and Varsity kicks off at 7pm. 

Thursday, November 16--Campo Boys Soccer is hosting Monte Vista High at Bob Wilson Stadium. JV game kicks off at 5pm and Varsity kicks off at 7pm. 


FEMALE STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING SIGN UP The Campo Athletic Boosters is sponsoring a (free) Female Strength and Conditioning Program on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30pm in Campo's Weight Room. Please use this Sign Up Sheet to sign up for as many sessions as you'd like.

SENIOR CELEBRATION PARENT FOOD SIGNUP Every year the College & Career Center holds a party to celebrate the hard work our Seniors have put towards their college applications and other post-grad plans. Friday, December 1 during Academy. We provide a lot of the food, but ask parents to fill in the rest. Please consider signing up to donate here.


BUSINESS CAREER TALK Anthony Marino, President of thredUP will discuss his entrepreneurial journey building the world’s largest used apparel marketplace, and also give the students a framework for thinking about different parts of an e-commerce organization and how they can position themselves for internships. If possible, students should bring their lunch from home to eat during the talk to avoid time in the cafeteria line. Friday, December 8, at lunchtime, in E13. Register here.


AUHSD OUT-OF-STATE COLLEGE FAIR November 29, 6:30-8:30pm. Come meet admission counselors from more than 15 colleges in the Acalanes library! Learn about the benefits of out of state schools, scholarship opportunities, financial aid and costs, and how to find your “match” school.  Register here.

CAMPOLINDO WELLNESS CENTER

NEW: FENTANYL PRESENTATION Please join the Campolindo Wellness Center on Thursday, November 30 at 5:30pm in the CPAC, for an important presentation and conversation about illicit fentanyl use featuring a family representative from the organization Song with Charlie. Moraga Police Officer Will Davis will also discuss the new Teen Anti-Tobacco/Vaping program and other current adolescent drug trends. TUPE (Tobacco Use Prevention Education) will be available before and after the presentation with information and resources. Visit The New Drug Talk for support with talking to your family about the current drug landscape. Please note: on Friday, December 1, all 12th grade students will receive this information during Academy. Additionally, Wellness and TUPE will be tabling with information and resources for all students at lunch.


VAPING & TEENS 101 WEBINAR Join the Contra Costa County Office of Education for a live virtual presentation on vaping and teens. Topics covered include: the latest tobacco products used by young people, the impact of vaping on young people, and ways that adults can support young people in their lives. There is no cost to attend although pre-registration is required.

NEW: UNITED AGAINST HATE Participate in United Against Hate Week (this week) by picking up a "Moraga Stands United Against Hate" poster in the attendance office and proudly display it in your window this week and all year! The United Against Hate Week message is clear--we reject hate of any kind and believe that building a safer and more equitable world starts by working together.


CAMPO DEIB GRANT PROGRAM The DEIB Grant Program is here to support you! A student committee and the DEIB Parents Club are giving $100+ dollar grants to student-led projects that promote diversity, inclusion, and belonging in our Campo community. This will be a collaborative process and provide real-life experiences for any future equity-minded entrepreneur. The grant application period will be open from November 13-27. There may be another round during the year, based on funding availability. If you have an idea, you should apply!
