ANNOUNCEMENTS

NEW: AUHSD GOVERNING BOARD MEETING - Nov. 20th

This meeting is open to the public and will be held at the District Community Room at 7 pm. It will also be livestreamed through the AUHSD website. Items of interest to the public include:

  • 2023-2024 Assessment Report
  • CA Assessment of Student Performance and Progress
  • Achievement Grades
  • Advanced Placement Examinations
  • Wellness Centers Update
  • Multiyear Budget Update


The agenda and supporting documents will be available online before the meeting. Note: agenda and supporting documents are best viewed using Mozilla Firefox or Chrome.


CANNED FOOD DRIVE 

Starting THIS WEEK, donations will be collected every 5th period until Dec. 11th. Class with the most cans wins a pizza party! Classes can also win candy for 1,000 cans, baked goods for 1,500, and an ice cream party for 2,000! One dollar=3 cans. You can donate online, bring cans, or cash/check made out to Contra Costa Food Bank (preferred). Parents, you are more than welcome to donate or if donating for your child, note what their 5th period class is in the comments.


ANNUAL TEACHER APPRECIATION COOKIE TRAYS

Please help us celebrate our Teachers and Staff by donating homemade baked goods for our annual Cookie Tray event. Cookies need to be either brought to school on Friday, Dec. 13th, by 9 a.m. or dropped off the night before. This is a favorite for our teachers so please sign up to help us show our gratitude for all they do for our kids! Please contact cookie event chairs Tina or Malorie with any questions. PLEASE CONTRIBUTE TO FINALS FUEL FALL 2024!

Many thanks to those of you who have signed up and donated snacks so far. With just 49 days before finals, we are 11,000 snacks short of our goal. Finals Fuel is a 100% Parent-supported activity and we cannot do it without you.

BOOK COLLECTION

The National Charity League Acalanes Senior Class 2025 is collecting new and gently used books for children aged toddlers-early high school. The books will be donated and utilized as part of our "Sweet Dreams" Senior Class Project supporting Hope Solutions. Hope Solutions provides emergency support for unhoused individuals and families in Contra Costa County. Beginning Tuesday, Nov. 5th, through Friday, Nov. 22nd, donations can be dropped off in the Campolindo A-hall in a box labeled "Hope Solutions Book Drive." Feel free to email Claire Birdsey if you have any questions.

Yearbooks are on sale! Order yours HERE and use school code 6377. Yearbooks have sold out in the past so make sure to order now!


Yearbook is looking for any photos of your students to possibly include in the yearbook. It could be on your summer travels or just lounging in the backyard. Send them to campolindoyearbook@auhsdschools.org. JPEGs preferred. Please do not send pictures with .heic extensions. We are also looking for any other photos if you have them.

ATHLETICS NEWS

NEW: CONGRATS TO VARSITY GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Congratulations to Campo Varsity Girls Volleyball on a very successful season! The team ended its season Saturday night in the D1 state semi-finals. Campo won the DFAL title, placed 2nd in NCS and ended the season as a top 8 team in CA for Division 1. THANK YOU to Head Coach, John Vuong, for 18 amazing years leading the program as he steps down from this position. He will be missed by all.

TICKETS For all DAL, NCS and CIF Playoff games requires the purchase of a ticket from Gofan Ticket Link. All Spectators will need to purchase a ticket. Campo ASB, Boosters Cards etc. will NOT be accepted for admission.

Why Go Out of State? Presentation and Mini College Fair, Wednesday, Dec. 4th, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Acalanes High School. Campolindo students and families are invited to join a presentation by Regional Admissions Counselors of California (RACC) at Acalanes High School to learn about the benefits of going to school outside California and meet with admissions reps from 25+ colleges. Check here in the coming weeks for a registration code.

Next, go to the Campolindo Web Store to formally request. There is no fee for transcripts. HERE is a “How-To” video created by Mr. Magno walking families through the process. Please also be sure to fill out the Student Counselor Survey, Parent Brag Sheet(s), and Resume/portfolio in MaiaLearning for your counselor recommendation.  


Note: UCs/CSUs/CA Community Colleges do not require an official transcript, counselor recommendation, or a teacher letter of recommendation. Please have your student stop by the College & Career Center if you have questions.

UC & CSU APPLICATION HELP AT THE COLLEGE & CAREER CENTER

UC and CSU Applications are DUE, Monday, Dec. 2nd. Last chance to get help from the College & Career Center is the week of November 18th-22nd. We are closed for the Thanksgiving Break, returning on Dec. 2nd. We are open for drop-in Lunch/7th (Tues/Thurs - No appointment necessary) and Academy (Wed/Fri - Sign-up Teachmore/Batcheller) for support.
