NEW: FALL AGATE PROGRAM After a two-year break, the AGATE (Acalanes Gifted and Talented Education) program is back in full swing. Thirty-six talented students from across the district have been participating in evening seminars and a three-day field trip to Point Reyes in order to create individual interdisciplinary projects of their own design. Please join us on December 6 in the Campo library when students will showcase their projects. We will begin at 7:00pm with each student giving a brief introduction to their project, followed at about 7:30pm by an hour of mingling and admiring their hard work. We would love to see you there!

CANNED FOOD DRIVE Campo's annual Canned Food Drive is underway. There are bins located in E9, you can write a check directly to the Contra Costa Food Bank and send it with your child, or you can donate here virtually. Each 5th period class competes for prizes, so be sure to ask your student if they would like you to put their 5th period teacher in the comments section. The Food Bank let us know that they are seeing 80,000 more people use their services and inflation has really impacted people's ability to make sure their families can eat enough this holiday season. Any and all donations are appreciated. Questions, contact Lindsay Webb-Peploe.

NEW: COUNTY CONNECTION FOOD DRIVE In case you miss Campo's food drive, County Connection buses will be collecting donations through December 11. See flyer for more info.

CULTIVATE THINKING CLUB TAKES OFF This student run Campo Club creates a space for high school students to meet with their younger peers to discuss diverse topics in a fun and engaging way. Across the Moraga School District, students are expressing a desire to be more aware and inclusive of their peers and neighbors. The Cultivate Thinking Club is addressing this need with great success. Miramonte High School also started a branch of the Cultivate Thinking Club this year.

MORAGA EDUCATION FOUNDATION

NEW: YOU CREATE POSSIBILITIES Without your generous support, Campo would not be able to provide such a wide variety of classes and the supplemental curriculum and equipment to ensure a high level of instruction.  There wouldn’t be a fully-staffed Wellness Center and College & Career Center.  These classes, resources, and spaces are not possible at all public schools in California - and they are only possible at Campo because parents like you donate to the Moraga Education Foundation.  MEF’s community-funded grants create these possibilities and so much more!

NEW: WE NEED YOUR HELP, AND THE TIMING IS CRUCIAL The MEF fundraising campaign is significantly behind where it was at this time last year, and soon, the school district will need to start planning its budget for next year. By donating or pledging today, you can help MEF more accurately estimate the size of its grant to Campolindo for next year, maximizing the impact of your support.  So please make your donation today - or if you need to donate later in the Giving Campaign, make a pledge here to donate at some point before May 31, 2023.

Thank you for supporting Campolindo. If you have questions about MEF, visit our website at moragaeducation.org or contact us at MEF@moraga.k12.ca.us
