ANNOUNCEMENTS

NEW: DECEMBER FINALS SCHEDULE

First semester finals for students will be held Dec. 17th-20th, following this schedule. Parents can also refer to the helpful FAQ guide on the Campo website for more information.


NEW: CAMPO PARENTS CLUB UPCOMING MEETINGS

Our December meeting will be Tuesday, Dec. 10th, from 9-10:30 a.m. in the Campo Library. All parents/guardians are welcome to attend - please check in at the attendance office for a visitor badge. Here are the agendafinancials, and last month's meeting minutes to review.

SAVE THE DATE: Our Jan. 14th, 2025 meeting will be in the EVENING from 6-8 p.m. in the Campo Library. Start off the new year with us and hear a presentation on The Use of Artificial Intelligence in Our Classrooms.


NEW: TOYS FOR TOTS

Now collecting unwrapped toys in partnership with the Marine Corps to donate to children for the holidays. Boxes will be in the A-Hall and Library until Dec. 13th.


NEW: AUHSD GOVERNING BOARD OPEN SEAT

Our AUHSD Governing Board will have a vacant seat beginning on Jan. 17th, 2025 due to a member's resignation. If you or someone you know is interested in submitting an application for this provisional appointment, applications are due by Jan. 7th, 2025. More information can be found on the AUHSD website HERE.


NEW: PEER TUTORING FOR STUDENTS

Did you know that free peer tutoring is offered for students during every Academy period? Our student tutors are Juniors and Seniors who have mastered the curriculum and are trained to help other students. These sessions occur in the Counseling Office and our Counselors supervise and facilitate the interactions. If your student needs help in a subject, please encourage them to sign up for sessions.

  • Open to ALL Campo students.
  • Sessions occur in the Counseling Office during all Academies.
  • Students can sign up through Teachmore just like how they do for all Academies.
  • Courses offered include: English, Chemistry, Math up to Pre-Calc level, History, some World Languages.


ANNUAL TEACHER APPRECIATION COOKIE TRAYS

Please help us celebrate our Teachers and Staff by donating homemade baked goods for our annual Cookie Tray event. Cookies need to be either brought to school on Friday, Dec. 13th, by 9 a.m. or dropped off the night before. This is a favorite for our teachers so please sign up to help us show our gratitude for all they do for our kids! Please contact cookie event chairs Tina or Malorie with any questions. The 2025 Annual Campo Athletic Boosters Crab Feed Celebration at Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church is on Feb. 7th, 2025. Tickets go on sale December 16th. This is an adult-only event. Save the date for this fabulous event!


CLASS OF 2026 FUNDRAISERS

Come shop the holidays with us! The Class of 2026 has you covered with beautiful “Big C” totes, Campo tassel bracelets and “C” earrings. Photos and directions to order HERE.

CANNED FOOD DRIVE 

Starting THIS WEEK, donations will be collected every 5th period until Dec. 11th. Class with the most cans wins a pizza party! Classes can also win candy for 1,000 cans, baked goods for 1,500, and an ice cream party for 2,000! One dollar=3 cans. You can donate online, bring cans, or cash/check made out to Contra Costa Food Bank (preferred). Parents, you are more than welcome to donate or if donating for your child, note what their 5th period class is in the comments.

Many thanks to those of you who have signed up and donated snacks so far. With just 49 days before finals, we are 11,000 snacks short of our goal. Finals Fuel is a 100% Parent-supported activity and we cannot do it without you.

NEW: BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

Congrats to Boys Cross Country for winning their second Division 3 State Championship! The Girls placed sixth extending their top ten streak. Way to go on very successful seasons!

NEW: SAT/ACT PRACTICE EXAMS AND TEST PREP BY

TRIED & TRUE TUTORING 

Next semester Campolindo CCC is partnering with Tried & True Tutoring to offer:  

Practice College Admisssion Tests: Take full-length exams in real testing conditions to identify your areas for improvement and determine which exam best represents you.  Reserve your seat HERE.

  • SAT Practice Exam: Saturday, February 2nd, 2025 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • ACT Practice Exam:  Saturday, February 9th, 2025 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

SAT Bootcamp: In this two-day Bootcamp, students will master proven strategies and high-frequency question types to approach the test with purpose and clarity, gaining the tools to efficiently boost thier score in just 8 hours. Juniors can prepare with confidence for Campolindo’s School Day SAT, scheduled for March 5, 2025. Sign-up for Bootcamp HERE

  • Boothcamp: Saturday, March 1st & Sunday, March 2nd from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

NEW: AAUW SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION FOR SENIORS

The American Association of University Women Scholarship Committee has announced the $2,000 Scholarship, awarded to one senior woman (those who identify as female) at Acalanes, Camplindo and Miramonte High Schools. Deadline is Wednesday, Feb. 12th, 2025. Details about the scholarship, past recipients and application can be found on AAUW/OML’s web site.

For schools requiring a transcript: Be sure to toggle the “Transcript Request” button for each school in MaiaLearning/Universities/Applying list. Next, go to the Campolindo Web Store to formally request. There is no fee for transcripts. HERE is a “How-To” video created by Mr. Magno walking families through the process. Please also be sure to fill out the Student Counselor Survey, Parent Brag Sheet(s), and Resume/portfolio in MaiaLearning for your counselor recommendation.  


Note: UCs/CSUs/CA Community Colleges do not require an official transcript, counselor recommendation, or a teacher letter of recommendation. Please have your student stop by the College & Career Center if you have questions.
