Jenna will give us an overview of the Campo Wellness Center plus discuss Suicide Prevention and Fentanyl Awareness. Principal Alvarez will also be discussing the district's No Place for Hate campaign which was reviewed with all students. NEW: GREAT TURN OUT AT OPEN HOUSE

A big thank you to our volunteers, leadership students, staff and teachers for their efforts in making Open House a success. The event was well attended and lively with breakout sessions, opportunities to talk with clubs and groups, food trucks, and of course, being able to visit our many classrooms and programs at Campo. Thank you to all who attended and welcome to the incoming class of 2029!

NEW: THANK YOU PARENT VOLUNTEERS

The CPC treated our staff and teachers on Friday to a Starbucks drink of choice as a mid-morning pick me up thanking them for their long work day for Open House. Thank you to the parents who came out to volunteer and make this possible and to our Chair for this event, Kerry Manny Cooper. We are so lucky to have such dedicated teachers and staff at Campo who go above and beyond to inspire our students!

NEW: KEY CLUB FUNDRAISER

Campolindo and Dublin Key Club are hosting a Valentine's cookie decorating fundraiser! Meet us on Feb. 9TH, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Joaquin Moraga Intermediate School. For $5, you can have a cookie and we will provide you with decorating materials. All of our money will be going to the Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP). NEW: STUDENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

Weekly Volunteers Needed: Earn volunteer hours at the spring session for ACEing Autism Moraga! Help us create fun and social interactions for children with autism through tennis. The clinics will be held on Sundays, March 2nd-23rd, on the tennis courts at St. Mary's College in Moraga. NEW: E-WASTE DRIVE

Campolindo's Sustainability Board is doing an E-Waste Drive from Feb. 3rd to Feb. 28th! Please drop off any E-Waste you have to Campolindo, room E9. Leadership students will be coming into your 4th period classes on Wednesdays and Fridays to collect throughout the month of February!

NEW: YOUTH SHARK TANK COMPETITION

Introducing the second annual Contra Costa Shark Tank Youth Competition! Win $2,000 to launch or grow your business. The competition is a fun way to promote youth entrepreneurship among K-12 students in Contra Costa County. Last year, Campo senior Beatrice Roberge was selected as a finalist. Finalists will be selected by the Campolindo Entrepreneurship Club, and winners selected by a panel of judges on May 1, 2025 at the Lafayette Library. Deadline to apply is March 15th!

VOLUNTEER WITH CAMPO PARENTS CLUB FOR 2025-2026

We are looking for those who are interested in volunteering in a role with CPC for next year. It's a great way to get involved at Campo and meet other parents. We will have open positions for Chairs/Co-Chairs with varying time commitments - some are on-going throughout the year and others are more of one time events. We are currently assessing what roles are open for next year - please fill out this form if you are interested. Some examples of openings for 2025-2026 are:



• Newsletter Chair: Coordinate the content to distribute each week to the Campo community. 
• Recording Secretary: Exec. Board role recording the minutes of monthly CPC meetings.
• Financial Review: Auditor role - happens at the end of each academic year.

THE CALIFORNIA SCHOLARSHIP FEDERATION APPLICATION

The California Scholarship Federation (CSF) application window for this semester has opened! The application will be completed online and the submission window will run from Jan. 21st through Feb. 14th. CSF is a statewide organization that honors outstanding high school students for their academic achievements based upon each semester's grades. Complete information about CSF, including the online application form that must be completed to qualify for membership, can be found HERE.

JAZZ DINNER DANCE

Please join us for a wonderful evening supporting the incredible Campo music program at our annual Jazz Dinner Dance on Saturday, Feb. 22nd at 6:30 p.m. at St. Perpetua in Lafayette, CA. Our jazz band will be performing songs from the different eras of jazz with special vocal performances from members of the Campo choir program. Dinner, dessert and dance lessons are included in what is sure to be an amazing evening of fun. Special ticket rates for Campo students will be offered. We hope to see you all there!

PARENT ED EVENT: PREPARING FOR A TEEN DRIVER - FREE PARENT INFO NIGHT

We have partnered with Acalanes Parents Club to offer an event for parents of soon to be drivers. This event will be held at Acalanes HS Library on Thursday, Feb. 6th at 6:30 pm. Greenlight Simulation will offer a presentation that will lay out the steps to acquiring a license and provide some foundational tips on how to approach behind-the-wheel driver training with your teen. CAMPO SERVICE AWARDS--KEEP TRACK OF YOUR VOLUNTEER HOURS 

Students who volunteer for 30 or more hours in the community may be eligible for a 2024-25 Volunteer Service Award. Completed hours and applications will be accepted no later than April 18th, 2025. GIVING CAMPAIGN UPDATE

MEF has raised over $2M so far this year and is 68% toward its $3M goal! NEW: CAMPO GIRLS LACROSSE

Parents and Players interested in Campo Girls Lacrosse, the season is nearly here! Tryout and practice info will be regularly updated on the link under "Announcements," bottom right on the Campolindo Girls Lacrosse website, which can be found HERE. Any athlete interested in lacrosse who is not a returning varsity athlete, please fill out this interest form HERE. Tryouts will take place Feb. 10th-13th at 3:30 p.m. on the Lower Grass Fields. The last day of tryouts will take place on Friday, Feb. 14th from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on the turf field at the Campo Stadium. 

NEW: CAMPO BOYS LACROSSE

Many athletes have successfully played lacrosse at Campo starting to learn the sport in high school. In lacrosse you run the field like soccer, the offense and defense sets up like basketball and you throw and catch like baseball. Interested? Fill out this form to get information. Evaluations start on Monday, Feb. 10th, at 3:30 p.m. on the lower fields.

NEW: 2025 CAMPOLINDO BOYS GOLF TRYOUTS

The start date for boys golf is Monday, Feb. 10th, 3:30 p.m., at Moraga Country Club on the large putting green. See the website for more details for this competitive golf program. 

COME JOIN BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Boys Volleyball season is coming up soon and we're looking for new team members! No volleyball experience is necessary. Tryouts will be held the week of Feb. 10th. Fill out this form to express interest and be added to the email list for the upcoming season.

• Monday, Feb. 10th: Deadline to register for team/first day of practice
• Tuesday, Feb. 11th: DEADLINE (11:59 p.m.) to place team suit order

What you can do now: 

• Complete REQUIRED Campo Athletics Forms
• Go to Camposwim.com: Click on the “2025 Swim Team Registration” button and follow prompts. Don’t forget to submit your size for the Campo Swim t-shirt!
• Next click on the “Apparel” button to order your swimsuit and Campo Swim spirit wear. There is no cost for the team suit, once you enter your size from the webstore. The cost should be $0, and you can then add to your cart.
• Finally, click on the “Contributions” button to make your Athletic Contribution through the Campo web store.
• Please email team parents Jean-Ann Balassi or Mark Chiarucci with any questions.

WINTER/SPRING SPORT ATHLETES 

Winter Sport athletes that wish to try out for a Spring sport need to contact the head coach of the Spring sport to communicate their interest in trying out. Regarding the overlap of Winter and Spring sports seasons; athletes need to finish their current season of sport and then they will be allowed to try out AFTER their current season finishes.

• Feb. 10th-12th: Tryouts begin 10 minutes after dismissal until dark
• Feb. 13th-14th: JV tryouts
• Feb. 14th: Varsity training begins (time TBD)
• Feb. 15th & 17th: Mandatory varsity team practice (time TBD)
• Feb. 17th: Mandatory varsity team parent info meeting and coach presentation (6 p.m.)

CAMPO BASEBALL

TRACK AND FIELD 

Track and Field is open to all levels of experience and ability. With 16 different events, including sprints, hurdles, jumps, throws, and distance, there is something for everyone. Athletes must complete all eligibility requirements listed on the team website ASAP: www.campotrack.com.

CAMPO ATHLETICS REGISTRATION

Athletes need to be cleared on Sportsnet in order to try out or to start practicing. To register for Campo Athletics click HERE. This only needs to be done once a school year, but it needs to be redone EVERY school year.

SENIORS REQUESTING MID-YEAR TRANSCRIPTS

Many of you have applied to colleges that require mid-year transcripts (with fall semester grades) to be submitted. As was the process for ordering initial transcripts, please request mid-year transcripts through the Campo Webstore. On the transcript ordering page, please type in "Mid-Year Transcript" in the box at the bottom of the screen, followed by the names of the colleges you are requesting transcripts for. There is no charge for transcripts.

Each college you apply to will ask you to open a portal via email, please open and check your portals often. This is where you track all information regarding your application; decisions, additional information requests, and in some cases special scholarship opportunities. We ask that students avoid checking portals or discussing decisions during class time, and parents, kindly refrain from texting students with updates during school hours. This can add unnecessary stress to an already emotional time.

Please write a note of appreciation to the teacher(s) who took the time to write you a letter of recommendation. We have “Thank You Cards” available in CCC if you want to come by during brunch/lunch or 7th. 

HAVE YOU UPDATED YOUR MAIALearning?

Please see the steps below to update your MAIALearning; delete schools you are no longer applying to, select the program within the college you applied to, and record admissions status (i.e., accepted, waitlisted, deferred, denied). This data is critical for the accuracy of the MAIALearning Analysis tabs by school (formerly Scattergrams in Naviance). 

1. Login to MaialLearing. Click on the Universities (left-hand navigation). 
2. Click on the Decisions (top navigation bar)
3. For each school on you list, click on the three-dots, under Actions
4. Complete Application Status for the University and Select College in University using the drop-down menus for each. You DO NOT need to complete the Set Flags section. 
5. Please delete any schools you DID NOT apply to: Go to back to the Universities tab, Click on the school you did not apply to, click three-dots next to "request transcript” button, click delete.
