CAMPOLINDO WELLNESS CENTER

TEEN DATING VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH

The Wellness Center would like to highlight that February is national Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. Dating violence is a serious issue that affects many young people, often going unnoticed or dismissed. An estimated 1 in 3 U.S. teens will experience physical, sexual, or emotional abuse from someone they’re in a relationship with before becoming adults. And nearly half (43%) of U.S. college women report experiencing violent or abusive dating behaviors. It's important for both teens and the adults in their lives to recognize the signs of unhealthy relationships and know where to seek help.

Please reference the list below for helpful resources:

Loveisrespect: A resource dedicated to promoting healthy relationships and offering confidential support through text, chat, or phone. Text "LOVEIS" to 22522 or visit www.loveisrespect.org

This is where you track all information regarding your application; decisions, additional information requests, and in some cases special scholarship opportunities. We ask that students avoid checking portals or discussing decisions during class time, and parents, kindly refrain from texting students with updates during school hours. This can add unnecessary stress to an already emotional time.
