ANNOUNCEMENTS

NEW: FINAL WEEK TO VOTE ON MEASURE T

It’s the final week of the campaign for YES on Measure T! Thank you to all that our community has done to support this effort. Measure T requires a two-thirds majority to pass. Our students are counting on you to turn in your Yes on T ballot! As a reminder, ballots are due by May 6th at 8 p.m. In the final days, we have three critical asks:

 

1.   Return your ballot if you haven’t done so already! You have until May 6th to cast your Yes on T ballot to protect our top high schools. To learn more about voting locations, please visit this link. Ballots must be turned into a ballot drop box by 8 p.m. on May 6th or postmarked by May 6th if you are voting by mail. Remember, no postage is required.

2.   If you’ve already voted, text five friends to remind them to turn in their ballots too! Use the attached graphic!

3.   Join us for our final Get Out the Vote walks this week! You can sign up to reach last-minute voters using this link.


NEW: COUNTY CONNECTION PILOT PROGRAM

Regional summer travel just got a whole lot better for area youth in central Contra Costa County! County Connection is excited to announce our new Youth Ride Free summer pilot program—offering fare-free rides on all bus routes for young people up to 18 years of age from June 1st through July 31st. Young riders can hop on any County Connection bus without needing to fill out an application or get a special pass. It’s easy! Just get on and go! Find out more HERE.

NEW: AUHSD GOVERNING BOARD MEETING: WEDNESDAY, May 7TH

This meeting will be conducted in person at the District Community Room. It will also be livestreamed through the AUHSD website. The public is invited to attend the Open Session at 7 pm.

Celebrate your graduate with a beautiful lei or sash! Leis will be distributed when students gather in the quad before walking up to the stadium. SUPPORT THE FRESHMEN CLASS THROUGH THEIR SWEET FUNDRAISER

Celebrate spring and the end of the school year with a sweet treat that will give back to benefit the Freshmen Class.

  • Monday, May 28th at Handels Ice Cream in Walnut Creek - 20% of proceeds will be donated back to the Class of 2029.


FINALS FUEL SPRING 2025 IS MAY 28TH AND MAY 30TH

Many thanks to those of you who have signed up and donated snacks so far. We are in May and there are still many great items needed from our wish list to keep our students fueled for finals. Please contribute what you can today. Finals Fuel is a wonderful Campo tradition during Finals Week when Campo Parents fund and distribute +10,000 healthy snacks to hungry and grateful students between their final exams. We are a 100% Parent-supported activity and we need your help! Here’s how: purchase snacks directly from Amazon, donate $ [Venmo: @David-Harrison-154, PayPal: david_harrison@yahoo.com] and SIGN UP to distribute them to students on campus!

TONIGHT, 6 p.m. - 7 p.m., in the Campo Quad for the Class of 2029 and all new students to Campolindo for the '25/'26 School Year. Meet coaches and representatives from Campo sports teams to learn about upcoming offseason opportunities, tryouts and season information.

CAREER TALKS EXPLORING CAREERS IN CONSTRUCTION

Dates: June 23rd-27th, 8-2:30 p.m., Sacramento, CA

Build California Summer Camp is a week-long, hands-on experience designed for rising 11th and 12th graders to explore and pursue rewarding careers in the construction industry. Camp participants will have the opportunities to engage in:  

  • Hands-on activities in construction and trades 
  • Career exploration workshops with industry professionals 
  • Job site tours and interactive experiences 
  • One-on-one career mapping sessions to guide their future steps after their camp completion  
  • Teamwork opportunities, where students will work in teams, building communication and improving their collaboration skills

If your student is experiencing difficulty with grief and loss, do not hesitate to reach out to Wellness, school counselors, or administrators. You can also access resources HERE and through the Contra Costa Crisis Center.


If you have students in mind who might benefit from this series, please submit a Wellness Referral (use the Other checkbox in the "What challenges to see with this student" section and write "Self-Care Series") to let us know who they are. We will invite them to participate. We will include topics for future months in this weekly bulletin.

NEW: GRAD NIGHT TICKETS & FORMS

Seniors, get ready to lift off after graduation at Grad Night at Chabot Space & Science Center! Grad Night tickets are available now on GoFan for $150 per person until May 16th. NEW: END OF THE YEAR EVENTS AND MEMORY BOARDS

The senior handbook is a resource for the rest of the year. It also includes detailed information for the memory boards and printed information is also included with each board. Memory boards can be picked up in front of the attendance office and are labeled by student name. Please do not drop off memory boards until May 9th, which is the day they are due!


NEW: CHECK YOUR PORTALS 

To-Do Lists, Waitlist decisions/instructions (time sensitive and sometimes emails go into junk mail), Housing forms/deposits, Special Scholarship Opportunities are all in your PORTAL. These vary by school and you don’t want to miss out on an opportunity.


NEW: DVC REGISTRATION FOR SENIORS

DVC’s Welcome and Connect Services is offering Enrollment Workshops online for high school seniors. Priority Registration date for graduating high school seniors is May 6th, 2025. Please stop by if you have not yet registered to ensure you get your classes for Fall. 


NEW: HAVE YOU BEEN WAITLISTED 

Schools will start accepting students off waitlists now that Decision Day has passed. Check your school portals often so you do not miss an offer, they are often time sensitive. More information on Waitlists. 


NEW: FINAL TRANSCRIPTS

We will be meeting with Seniors at the end of this week during Gov/Econ classes to administer the Senior Exit Survey where students will indicate their final choice. This information is used by our Registrar to send Final Transcripts to the college student(s) are attending. Final transcript will be sent to only ONE school and will be sent once grades are finalized in mid-June. If you get off a waitlist before May 30th, stop by College & Career to change your decision. If you get off a waitlist after May 30th, you will need to request through the Webstore/Transcripts and indicate in the box at the bottom that your changing schools and list the new school you will be attending. Campo and AUHSD Registrar will be monitoring the web store over the summer and make sure transcripts get sent. Do not email Mrs. Duff and/or your Counselors. 


NEW: NO SENIORITIS

Do your best to maintain your GPA in the range in which you were accepted. Your acceptance could be rescinded if there is a significant decline. You worked too hard to get here, don’t let it be taken away!


NEW: WRITE YOUR THANK YOU NOTES TO TEACHERS

Please write a note of appreciation to the teacher(s) who took the time to write you a letter of recommendation. We have Thank You notes in CCC, stop to grab anytime!
