Dear Archbishop Carroll Family,

We are excited to announce Father Mark Cavara as Archbishop Carroll's new Director of Campus Ministry.

Father Cavara's journey at Archbishop Carroll began in September 2018, after his ordination in 2016 and his first assignment at St. Anselm Parish in northeast Philadelphia.

In addition to teaching Sophomore and Senior Theology at Carroll, Father Cavara has been very involved in our athletic programs, including football, baseball, wrestling, and tennis.

Father Cavara said he looks forward to continuing to uphold Archbishop Carroll's outstanding program of faith, where students are able to boldly proclaim their Catholic identity. In addition to continuing our established programs, he plans to execute new initiatives, like the Padre Pio Club, which will teach specific aspects of living our Catholic faith in a modern world.

“I couldn’t ask for a better person to be the new school minister of Carroll," commented former Campus Ministry Director, Father Michael Speziale. "During the past two years, Father Cavara has proven to be a dedicated leader at Carroll. Father Cavara has selflessly served as an outstanding theology teacher, a passionate coach, and an outstanding supporter to all of our campus ministry activities. Additionally, he is a model priest and mentor to young people, and a great friend to the Carroll teachers and staff. He will continue to serve and do God’s work at Carroll.”

We look forward to witnessing Father Mark in his new role, and continuing Carroll’s robust faith life traditions and campus ministry program.

God Bless,
