Dear Faculty and Staff Colleagues,

It was great to see so many of you at the mixer last Friday as we closed our Day of Celebration of Scholarship and Creative Expression (CSCE). We came together with alums and the Board of Counselors celebrating their 50th anniversary, as well as Emory Provost Bellamkonda—the reach of our community was on full display. I was also inspired by the presentations and turnout of our students throughout the day, as well as the research on display from faculty and staff. Thank you to Kitty McNeill, the Library, and the entire CSCE team for hosting such a wonderful program.

As we approach the end of the semester, I want to highlight two upcoming events that celebrate the achievements of our current and former students.

On May 5, at 3:00 p.m. in the Emory Student Center in Atlanta, there will be a graduation reception for current Emory seniors who attended Oxford. If you find yourself in the city, I’m sure many of them would love to reconnect as they gather in celebration of their Oxford roots. You can register here.

We hope you will join us the following evening, May 6, at 5:00 p.m. for Oxford’s annual baccalaureate service at Old Church. This interfaith service brings together graduates, their families, faculty, and staff. If you are marching, please RSVP to the Faculty Marshalls. If you’d like to stay for the dinner after the service, please RSVP to Sarah Dobbs. Otherwise, attendance is open.

I hope you find time to attend one of these events and support our students as they transition to the next phase of their education or out into the world.

Best,
Doug
