Dear Faculty and Staff Colleagues,
During last week’s Emory Day of Giving, I am proud to say that Oxford raised the most dollars out of all university schools and units! The day was a huge success, and we could not have done it without your support—or without the tireless work from the Advancement and Alumni Engagement team, who spent countless hours spreading the word and engaging our enthusiastic alumni base and on campus with our students, faculty, and staff to build participation.
Overall, Emory raised a total of $1,347,350 from 4,701 gifts. Here at Oxford, we raised $149,647—a number that will keep rising as the counting continues and is finalized over the next few weeks. This more than doubles the amount we brought in on last year’s Day of Giving, when we still placed in the top three for most dollars raised. Additionally, Oxford met and exceeded our donor goal of 475 with gifts from over 575 individual donors. Including all the matches that were previously donated and the multiple challenges we won, we raised $324,283!
These generous gifts will go toward programs and initiatives that further enrich the Oxford educational experience and support the tenets of Emory’s 2O36 campaign. Thank you, again, for all you do to make Oxford a place where alumni, friends, faculty, staff, students, and parents are eager to give back and join in the community spirit of this event.
Best,
Doug
