Dear Faculty and Staff Colleagues,
Thank you to everyone who made orientation and move-in day such special experiences for our new students. My favorite moments were greeting students and their families and the Coke toast, complete with Jack Hardy stickers and his words of wisdom! Second-years are back as well, and everyone should have attended their first classes today.
On Monday night, I had another excellent first: watching the Oxford Olympics. Our students’ school spirit and energy were contagious and underscored the power of our inclusive community.
Tonight, we’ll officially ring in the academic year with Convocation at 7:00 p.m. in Williams, immediately followed by the annual Candlelight Procession around the quad. Our second-years will quite literally pass the torch to their first-year classmates. I hope to see you there, and I look forward to these beautiful ceremonies and a great school year ahead.
Warmly,
Badia
