A note from the Dean
Dear Faculty and Staff Colleagues,

Thanks to each of you who participated in last week’s 2O36 Emory Giving Week. I’m proud to say that Oxford raised the most money of any school and had the most donors! You can learn more in the story below.

On Friday, we will hold two Twin Memorials listening sessions for faculty and staff with Hood Design Studio. As you know, the Memorials will honor the lives and legacies of the enslaved individuals who are part of our shared history. The details are below, and you can RSVP here.

Friday, November 10 in the Mural Room:

• 10:00 – 11:15 a.m.: Staff and Faculty Session #1
• 1:30 – 2:45 p.m.: Staff and Faculty Session #2, sign-in sheet for lunch will be provided

This Saturday, November 11, is another important day for our community: the 20th annual Emory Cares Day. You can sign up to pack care boxes for children in Newton County Foster Care here and help remove evasive plant species from the Hearn Nature Trail here. You can also buy an item from our Amazon Wish List that will go in the care boxes. Learn more in the article below.

TITLE/DEPT: Senior Associate Director of Financial Aid — Office of Financial Aid and Office of Enrollment Services
How long have you been at Oxford?
I've been at Oxford for eight years. In my role, I manage financial aid for all Oxford students and Oxford student employment. I also manage Emory Financial Literacy programming and a team of peer mentors across both campuses.
What do you like best about your job and about Oxford?
I enjoy the collaborative nature of working at Oxford. The welcoming community on campus makes it a wonderful place to work. Also, being a part of the college experience of our students is rewarding and humbling.
What is your favorite song/tv show/movie/restaurant/podcast?
I love The Office and am currently rewatching the show with my teenage son, which has been a fun experience. Derry Girls, Ted Lasso, Schitt's Creek, and Seinfeld are all great too. My favorite podcast is probably Smartless.
What makes you happy or brings you joy?
My three children, Luke, Elizabeth, and William, and my husband Nathan are my greatest joys. We also have two dogs: Hank Aaron and Dale Murphy; two cats: Vince Dooley and Frank Howard; and two goats: Larry Bird (Birdie) and Mia Hamm. We also love sports at my house.
