A Message from Vice Provost Phil Kass
The Office of Academic Affairs is pleased to provide you with new information from the UC Office of the President about COVID-19 leaves and job protections. We realize that you have been receiving many communication updates about the various leave programs that exist, but this new document provides an important summary of the three COVID-19 related paid leave provisions potentially available to academic appointees. It also provides eight pages of FAQs related to job protection and paid leaves.

Our academic community has done an astonishing job of maintaining our essential functions, especially in continuing to provide a superb quality UC education to our students, and providing informed leadership to our state and federal governments on how to responsibly respond to the pandemic. The roles we play now will have a lasting impact on our students, ourselves, and our society, and for that we should be collectively proud to be members of the UC Davis community.

Please stay safe and well,

Phil

UCRAYS: Now a Digital Process
Prior to COVID-19, retirement initiation packets were submitted by "snail mail" to the UC Retirement Administration Service Center. As mentioned in Dateline, this process is no longer possible due to the center's personnel working from home. Rather, it has gone digital through UCRAYS.

If you recently applied for retirement, please check in with the UC Davis Retiree Center at 530-754-7105 or [email protected].
