The 100 day countdown is on for the 2022 Can-Am Police-Fire Games. The City of Windsor is proud to host the games this summer July 25th-31st. The focus will be on promoting physical fitness and camaraderie among and between Canadian and American law enforcement, fire, emergency and protective service personnel and their agencies. What will make these set of games outstanding is the 44 competitions available to enter as an individual or with colleagues or first responder friends by entering a team in sports such as soccer, softball, ice hockey, ball hockey or basketball. This event also offers an opportunity to enjoy the experience with family members and children who wish to participate that are 18 years of age and older.

Check the schedule HERE for details.

Some of the events that you will not want to miss are Pistol – Duty, Pistol – PAP, Pistol – PPC, Trap Shooting, Biathlon, SWAT and Police Service Dog. Sportsmanship and respect for emergency service personnel will be celebrated on and off the field.  There is a complete hospitality schedule including events such as Opening Ceremonies at the Riverfront Festival Plaza with a Detroit River Boat Parade, lighting of the torch, live entertainment, food and beverage and fireworks.  During the week be sure to visit the Guns n’ Hoses Lounge at Caesars Windsor to trade pins, patches and t-shirts, or consider to sign up and experience Canada’s finest whiskey during evening beer and whiskey tours.

On behalf of Windsor Police Services, we invite you to join us in Windsor for what will be an incredible week of sport competition, camaraderie, story-telling and many shared laughs along the way.  Be sure to sign up today and enjoy your visit to Windsor, Ontario and the 2022 Can-Am Police-Fire Games.

Team Goran REMAX Care Realty was the very first company to come forth and offer support of the Can-Am Police-Fire Games.  Back in 2018 and well before the pandemic changed our lives, Goran Todorovic immediately stepped forward and offered to become the presenting sponsor of the four year Can-Am Golf Series fundraiser held 2019 - 2022 at Roseland Golf & Curling Club. The games Work Hard Play Hard theme captures more now than ever the need for people to balance their time to include healthy active living, and for Goran that includes golf. Goran shares his belief that as a community we should rally and support our first responders and celebrate all that these professionals do to keep us safe day in and day out to protect our families, our homes and our country.

With Goran and Danielle Todorovic and their team involved with the Can-Am Golf Series it was a natural fit for Team Goran REMAX Care Realty to carry over and become a supporting partner of the games and sponsor of all three 2022 Can-Am Police-Fire Games golf events. These events include: 4 Person Scramble on July 26th & 27th, Individual 18 Hole Champion on July 28th, and the 2 Person Scramble on July 29th. These golf events will be held at Roseland Golf Course and Ambassador Golf Club.

As an avid golfer himself, Goran has enjoyed being the presenting sponsor of the golf tournament series and looks forward to being a supporting partner of the Can-Am Police-Fire Games. Registration is open now for all 3 of the golf events!

The games organizing committee wish to extend a special thank you to Goran & Danielle Todorovic and their team for generously supporting the 4 year Can-Am Golf Series Tournament and as supporter of the 2022 Can-Am Police-Fire Games golf events.

Annually, the first week in May is CMHA Mental Health Week, but we have so many wonderful webinars, workshops, trainings and events happening that we like to stretch it out and make May “Mental Health Month”! View Mayor Dilkens Mental Health Month video!

This year, Mental Health Month is all about Empathy – the ability to share someone else’s feelings or experiences by imagining what it would feel like to be in their situation. We have shared a collective experience over the last 2 years, and collective empathy for the difficulties we have each faced during the course of the pandemic. We all want and need to feel seen and heard. Let’s stop polarizing and start empathizing. This mental health month, don’t weigh in, tune in.

Please visit our website for a full list of activities happening this month:
