πŸ’‘ From β€œWhy?” to β€œHow?” PCEF Helps Grow Thinkers

β€Š

Trailside Elementary student James Deramo researched and presented a biography of Neil Armstrong in PACE.

β€Š

Trailside Elementary parent and pediatrician Jenni Deramo shares how PCEF-supported programs like Preschool and PACE (Program for Academic Challenge and Enrichment) help the youngest learners develop a love for learning. Students grow from asking "why" in preschool to "how" in elementary as they discover how the world around them works.

ο»Ώβ€œThe best and most impactful donations you can make are to our country’s future – our children. They are going to grow up and be the leaders of our communities. To allow them the opportunity to learn well when they’re young can only benefit all of society.” -Jenni Deramo, TSES parent

πŸ§‘β€βœˆοΈ AI Helps Aviation Students Train for the Real Cockpit ✈️

β€Š

Trip Marshall's Aviation II students Landon Macon (left) and Luke Miller (right).

β€Š

Aviation students at Park City High School are gaining valuable hands-on flight experience before ever stepping foot in a cockpit. Simulators in Mr. Marshall's classroom have a new feature – the addition of AI software that presents students with real-world air traffic control scenarios. Students are challenged to listen, use critical thinking skils, and react just as they would in the cockpit.

Technology is ever-changing, and CTE programming at the high school is able to keep up with the fast pace thanks to the ongoing investment made in real-world learning opportunities.

PCEF donors funded the flight simulators and software for the the aviation classroom. Supporting PCEF through Running with Ed ensures CTE equipment and resources are available to make classes like this a reality.
