Louisville Seminary invites you to attend the 2025 Edwards Lecture: "Can I Get a Witness: Cultivating the Courage of Moral Leaders" on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 6:30 PM (ET), presented by guest lecturer, Dr. AnneMarie Mingo, in-person at our newly upgraded multi-use tech space in the Winn Center (on the campus of LPTS) or online via Zoom.

Dr. AnneMarie Mingo, Associate Professor of Ethics, Culture, and Moral Leadership and Director of the Metro-Urban Institute at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, will deliver a powerful exploration of the faith, courage, and moral imagination of civil rights-era Black Churchwomen who risked everything to transform our world. This lecture will highlight the lived theology and ethics of Black women, showcasing their public witness and courageous resistance to social injustice. Their hope for a better future offers invaluable lessons for our moral challenges today.

Coupled with the annual Black Church Studies Consultation (Feb 25-28, 2025 – more info coming soon!), this lecture shares a focus on peace and social justice, providing an opportunity for meaningful dialogue and reflection.

Joining us in-person? We invite you to come to the Winn Center prior to the Edwards lecture for a reception and resource fair. Doors open at 5:30 PM (ET).

Thank you for registering by February 25, whether attending in-person or online.
