Professional Women in Pest Management

The Professional Women in Pest Management (PWIPM) is an affiliate group of the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) whose mission is to attract, develop and support women in the pest management industry through educational programs, resources and peer networking. 


The Georgia chapter of Professional Women in Pest Management would love your input! Each year, we become involved in several different events or discussions including:

  • Hosts professional development sessions
  • Recognizing an industry leader through the Women of Excellence Award.
GPCA Presents First Annual Awards
Congratulations to Chuck Carney and Xavier Cugnon!

During the Dalton (Athens) Winter Conference, Chuck Carney (Cook's Pest Control) and Xavier Cugnon (Arrow Exterminators) were awarded the First Annual PestVet of the Year Awards. Chuck and Xavier are currently serving as co-chairs of the GPCA PestVets Committee and have been instrumental to the betterment of supporting Georgia veterans. Thank you for all that you do, Chuck and Xavier; we are truly grateful for your continued efforts!

Congratulations to Wendy Morgan!

After the Dalton (Athens) Winter Conference, Director of Human Resources Wendy Morgan (Cingo) was awarded the First Annual Administrative Professional of the Year Award. With Wendy's calm steady nature and sharp mind, she has helped lead many initiatives to the growth of Cingo. Thank you Wendy for the promotion and advocacy of the pest control industry!

Scholarships

GPCA is an advocate to giving back to its members and their families. Every year, the Georgia Pest Control Association awards two different scholarships.
The Burnett Scholarship is named after Glenn Burnett and this program provides scholarships for our members’ children - no matter what their course of study.

Deadline for applications is April 15th, 2021.
The Russell Scholarship is named after Robert Russell. It is dedicated to supporting the advanced education of a promising student enrolled in at least one entomology course at the University of Georgia.

Deadline for applications is August 15th, 2021.

GA PestVets - Coat Drive Donation

The GPCA GA PestVets Committee was recently featured in the media regarding the donation of coats to the Cherokee County Homeless Veterans Program. Over 1,000 coats were donated because of the efforts our GPCA members! Thank you to everyone who helped with this great cause!
