How can you deepen your spiritual practice and what does that mean for YOU? With over 20 years’ experience in the wellness industry, I have discovered that health is not only about the food we eat or the hours we put in at the gym. Mostly, our mind is what makes the difference in our health, behavior, and lifestyle. I’ve learned that having consistent spiritual practice, that includes daily meditation and prayers, makes all the difference in how I feel, behave, and live my life on a day-to-day basis. When I do attend to my practice, mediation, and prayers, my day is infused with a totally different energy.

Marianne Williamson’s books, workshops, and livestreams on spirituality have made a profound impact and transformation in my life. If you are serious about living the best life you can live, being the best version of yourself, and becoming a greater light in this world, I encourage you to find a spiritual practice that works for you. What works for me may not work for everyone. Find something your heart is able to receive. I would love for you to share your favorite spiritual practices, books, and mentors.

Master Class Series
I have once again partnered up with the incredible brains at Blendtec for an educational, always fun shoot. This time it was a "how to" series that teaches viewers how to make delicious recipes at home that are healthy, full of nutrients, and all take under 5 minutes to prepare.

We had two days of shooting. The first day included a one-on-one interview where I shared my breakdowns that led to big break throughs. I expressed that I had to make tough decisions in order to be the woman I am today. Every moment is a lesson. Every decision that we make, big or small, will effect our lives. You must make sure you listen to your heart and go inwards to make your decisions. Don't listen to the voice of your ego, or go outwards and ask others. You, and only you, have the ability, knowledge and wisdom to make your decisions.

On the second day of the shoot, we went to Hedley & Bennett in Vernon, California. I teamed up with NBA Clippers star, Tobias Harris and his personal chef Jason Pabst. I made my famous skinny hot chocolate and my one ingredient cashew dip. Tobias made a delicious butternut squash soup, and Jason made a tasty energy boosting smoothie. It was an amazing experience, and I cant wait to show you the finished product. Stay tuned!

This Roasted and Stuffed Squash filled with Panorama Organic Grass-fed Ground Beef recipe is perfect for the fall!

Panorama’s beef has a bigger, beefier flavor than conventionally raised, grain-fed beef. The company’s dedication to English genetics means its steaks are juicy, tasty, tender and evenly marbled. Its ground beef is naturally lean and flavorful.

Roasted and Stuffed Squash filled with Panorama Organic Ground Beef (Serves 6)

3 small squash 
2 packages of Panorama Organic Grass-fed Ground Beef
2 large onions, chopped small
5 tablespoons of pine nuts
Pinch of cumin, curry powder, chili powder, sea salt, and black pepper
2 tablespoons tomato paste
3 tablespoons water
3 tablespoons olive oil
6 teaspoons of low fat shredded Mozzarella cheese

How to:

Cut squash in half lengthwise then roast in the oven for 45 min at 350 degrees.

In a large saucepan over medium heat, add olive oil and chopped onions. Sauté until translucent (about 10 minutes). Add Panorama Organic and Grass-fed beef, spices, pine nuts, tomato paste and water to the pan. Use a fork to break down the beef and continue to cook for another 15 minutes or until the meat is completely cooked.

Remove squash from oven and fill each half with meat mixture. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of low fat shredded cheese then put in oven for 5 minutes.
