These past few weeks have been like nothing any of us has ever experienced before. As we have watched this crisis unfold, I've spoken with so many of you who want to get aid to vulnerable people while we are forced to be isolated from one another.
It’s a challenge, but so many of you have found ways to continue serving your neighbors safely and effectively. And in the midst of our public health crisis, parishes are discovering unique opportunities to provide support to those in need – and we want to lend a hand.
Episcopal Ministries of L.I. has established a small fund to help your efforts to respond to this current crisis.
We want to make this easy and respond quickly. Our goal is to provide help to people who need assistance right now.
If you believe we can assist in your efforts to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak, we invite you to email us at
with a brief description of your efforts, the anticipated impact, and your funding request.
If you are contemplating a project you believe can make a difference, please call me or Franca Floro to discuss it.
And, if you’re engaged in a community effort that others might be able to replicate, let us know. Your work on the “frontlines” may inspire others.
The need to be physically separated won’t keep us from coming together to support one another. By God’s grace and mercy, and united in compassion and love, we will weather this storm.
