Our COVID-19 Response Continues
Beginning our third month of COVID-19 emergency response

Today is, unbelievably, May 1st. This is the beginning of what will be our third month of COVID-19 emergency response. Along with all of you, we have learned so much about our own ability to adapt to rapid change, expand our service capacity, and deal with our own anxieties and those of others.Hopefully, also along with all of you, we have witnessed the kindness and generosity of so many.

This week, our service numbers have grown again, to just above 650 families in direct pantry service, and another nearly 14,000 pounds of food out to nonprofit partners for distribution to those they serve. This equates to nearly 36,600 meals this week. Thank you to all who have made our work possible. Hunger has an impact and so do you.

Tuesday, May 5th, is an international day of giving in response to the COVID-19 crisis. Here in Loudoun, that giving is channeled through our remarkable Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties.

Many Loudoun County nonprofits are participating in this fundraising day, called GiveChoose. Gifts can be made early through Monday, May 4th or on GiveChoose Day, Tuesday May 5th. Please support Loudoun Hunger Relief and other nonprofits doing great work in Loudoun on Tuesday.

Our local nonprofits are the safety net for so many in our community and we are all in this together. Hope you can help! #GiveChoose
