Text from artwork "Maritime Messaging: Red Hook"
This Sunday, 10/29, can you lend a hand?

Hello again!

Once again, PortSide has a Sunday program. This time it's because Sunday is the 5th anniversary of superstorm Sandy (aka #Sandy5).

Can you help for a few hours?

I could use 1-2 people during the day (11am to 6pm) to greet the public coming to hear the artwork "Maritime Messaging: Red Hook."

It would really help to have 2-3 people to set up, run and clean up the closing reception that runs from 6-8pm. (Set-up begins at 4:30pm.)

Please let me know! RSVP to chiclet@portsidenewyork.org

Check out today's newsletter  for info about other PortSide Sandy5 events and our fundraising campaign to complete our Sandy FEMA "Alternate Project." That's been 5 years of paperchase! Just today, we heard that FEMA approved our extension request. Yahoo!

Below is a draft of the new life ring sign with Chiclet that we'll unveil at the reception on Sunday.

Thanks!

Best,

Since June 1, come by ferry to the MARY!
It's easy to get here by water now! The new NYC Ferry has a stop yards from the MARY! It connects Bay Ridge, the Brooklyn Army Terminal, Red Hoo, Atlantic Avenue and DUMBO to Wall Street.  Hope this means we'll see more of you!
