Keeping a strong focus on consumer protection will help ensure that the Canadian solar industry maintains a solid reputation for good business practices and taking direct action in instances of misconduct.

Through the Consumer Protection Forum, participating members will review and update CanSIA's existing consumer protection policies and ensure that CanSIA, and its members, have strong safeguards in place to protect customers.

To receive an invitation to CanSIA's Consumer Protection Forum, Corporate and Supporter members must join CanSIA's Policy & Market Development Network.

On November 22, Alberta's Premier Rachel Notley released Alberta's Climate Leadership Plan and announced that the province will implement an accelerated phase out of coal by 2030. Two-thirds of existing coal-generated electricity will be replaced with renewables.
