Naturalist, speaker, and adventure guide, Brian Keating, has been
deemed Canada’s real-life Indiana Jones
by Forever Young Magazine. Travelling the world and leading groups on nature-based travel for over three decades, Keating knows which seat leaves you most rested after a long flight, how to use a pillowcase to capture a snake, and the best glacier ice for gin and tonics.
Presently, Brian is the Calgary Zoo’s honorary Conservation Advisor on their outreach efforts. He is also a former Adjunct Assistant Professor of Anthropology at the U of C, as well as the host of “
Going Wild with Brian Keating
” on National Geographic TV Canada.
Passionate about the environment, Brian is a weekly guest on Calgary’s CBC Radio, and for many years, was a regular on the Discovery Channel, which featured his own wilderness adventure and wildlife filming. Brian was also named the
2006 Reader’s Digest Canadian Hero of the Year, is an honorary chief in Ghana,
and was named the
2018 Canadian Outdoorsperson of the Year by the Canadian Nature Federation
. Brian is in high demand as an international speaker, presenting at some 30 events a year. He counts Jane Goodall as a good friend, and works as a guest guide in the Arctic, Churchill, Antarctica and Africa.
