The Canal Street Historic District Association is pleased to present our 6th annual Pooch Parade. This fun, family – friendly event will begin at 11am in Christmas Park and our furry friends will make their way to the Crimson House where prizes will be awarded. Stay and enjoy the First Saturday Events and Downtown Music Festival for a perfect Saturday in Downtown.

There are two main categories of dogs: costume and au naturel. And there are four weight categories. A panel of judges will decide the winners who receive nifty prizes!

Please scroll through the rules and fill out the application located below. Then submit the $10 fee to complete registration. Pet food donations will be accepted the day of the parade. 

Art & Artisan Stroll, 9am-3pm- Every 1st Saturday Canal Street hosts vendors in tents presenting their handmade products for sale. These artists and artisans offer a wide variety of attractive products to add to the reasons you should be on Canal Street every 1st Saturday. In addition to the vendors, be sure to catch the live music in Christmas Park starting at noon.

Every month on the second Saturday. Stroll beautiful Canal Street while viewing cars of all years, makes and models. A new beginning for the tradition with the active participation of the Canal Street Merchants Association and the City of New Smyrna Beach. Music by DJ Frank.

The second "season" of Canal Street Nights is better than ever. You'll find all new vendors and food trucks will add dinner choices and capacity. Bring the family. Shop and get something to eat while you listen to live music. We'll see you every third Thursday through May, 2023.
