CAMPBELL RIVER: Bob Bray is pleased to announce that this week's Round Two revised endorsement, by paid-up members of the Social Mavrik Federation for leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, goes to Leslyn Lewis plus Derek Sloan, and is happy to refer to them as Cancel Nuctech Lewis and Block Huawei Sloan .
Week 10: Cancel Nuctech Lewis
On July 17 Leslyn Lewis wrote:
"Yesterday, Canada’s government made yet another bad decision in regards to China. They awarded a $6.8 million contract to Nuctech Company to supply security equipment for 170 embassies, consulates and high commissions around the world.

Nuctech company was co-founded by the son of former Chinese President Hu Jintao. There is no world where a Canadian company would ever be allowed to install security equipment in any Chinese embassy. So why are we letting a company with close ties to the Chinese communist party install security cameras and scanners at Canadian embassies?

Is our government willfully naive? The alternative to that is almost unthinkable.
I call on the federal government to immediately cancel the contract and restart the tender process."
Week 10: Block Huawei Sloan
On July 18, Derek Sloan wrote:
"On Tuesday, the Boris Johnson-led UK government banned the purchase of any new 5G equipment from the Chinese telecom giant Huawei and ordered all Huawei gear stripped from Britain’s networks by 2027.

The UK joined the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand in freezing out Huawei from their 5G networks, leaving Canada as the only member of the “Five Eyes” intelligence alliance that has not barred or restricted Huawei from its 5G network.

This is an important and necessary move by Boris Johnson’s government.
Huawei has helped China earn its reputation for spying, industrial espionage, and international property theft.

Through surveillance and facial recognition, Huawei have also helped the Beijing regime track, detain, torture, and murder people.

As just about everyone in the west seems to realize—with the exception of Team Trudeau—now is the time to separate ourselves from the ambitions of the Chinese Communist Party and the entities that do its sinister work."

"As Prime Minister, I will block Huawei. I will also stand up to Communist Chinese aggression in all its other insidious forms and staunchly guard Canada’s autonomy against all external influence."

Current mem bers of the Social Mavrik Federation give this week's endorsement on a 50/50 basis to Cancel Nuctech Lewis and Block Huawei Sloan for leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada.

Membership in the Social Mavrik Federation
The Social Mavrik Federation is a non-profit society registered in British Columbia. It is transparently guided by a majority of its members. Last year It focused on cultural politics by organizing a legislative petition to allow the voluntary formation of 20 charter schools. Participation by the Federation in electoral politics is limited to endorsing candidates in a variety of jurisdictions.

In January through March, the Federation issued 10 weekly announcements to push back against educational instability caused by the teacher strike in Ontario and the planned teacher strike in Saskatchewan. An alternative was offered by promoting the educational stability of public charter schools.

From May to July, the Federation issued 11 weekly announcements in the current endorsement campaign for the Canadian Conservative leadership race.

A link to each of these 21 announcements is listed in our archives.

The "Mavrik" part of our name is defined on page 1 of the membership application form. The "Social" part of our name symbolizes our support for the family and rejection of identity politics and cancel culture. It is further explained on page 2 of the membership application form.

Statistics about our current four members can be seen here.
