Cancellation of  Worship Services
and Church Meetings

Dear parishioners: Yesterday Bishop Reddall sent out an announcement regarding measures to help counter the coronavirus health threat. She wrote:

I am instructing all of our congregations to cancel all in-person, public worship through at least April 20, and I expect it will be likely to continue longer, as the CDC is recommending cancelling 8 weeks of public gatherings. I also instruct our congregations to cancel all public events involving more than 10 people during this time, including classes, rehearsals, and meetings. All in-person Diocesan events during this time are also cancelled or being moved to online platforms.

This is to start immediately.  This means until April 20, no worship services e.g. Sunday liturgies, Thursday Morning Prayer with Eucharist, and Celtic Mass, and no other meetings at the parish.  Public events can be held if no more than 10 people attend.

I will be working with the Vestry, staff, and other clergy about our ministries to provide.  We are not going to loose communication with you.

Bishop Reddall reminds us that prayer is a necessity now and always.  I will have available later this week Books of Common Prayer in the office if you would like one.

Last Sunday, Omar live-streamed the 10:30 liturgy on Facebook.  He will be doing that again this week and hopefully until the health threat  is diminished.

We will  get through this and when we do our celebration together  will reach the heavens.

God's Peace!
