THE COST OF CANCER
"I sell Medicare Supplements because Medicare Advantage plans leave too much for clients to pay."
Well, JAMA Oncology did a study and found the average annual out-of-pocket costs for a Medicare beneficiary is:
$5,976 with a Medicare Advantage plan
$5,670 with a Medicare Supplement
What this means:
Regardless of what coverage your clients have, they will more than likely have out-of-pocket expenses for their cancer treatment. Make sure you inform them about plans that can give them access to funds to help offset or eliminate those costs Medicare & insurance will not cover!
What we like:
Cigna has a lump sum cancer plan we recommend.
