Cancer-Fighting Foods

Join me at Mt. Gretna's Hall of Philosophy on Tuesday, June 10 to make an investment in your health (and the ones you love) by finding out what kinds of foods to eat to prevent and kill cancer cells! What we consume has a significant impact how our bodies work. It is possible to increase the intake of some foods (like high oxidant containing items that kill off those nasty free radicals that live to cause havoc in your body) without any sacrifice in taste. We'll explore what those foods are, how they work in our bodies and easy recipes that promote our health deliciously!!

Tuesday June 10 at 6:00pm - $20 - Class limit: 10

The Dirty Dozen & The Clean 15

No, we're not talking about one of my hubby's favorite movies! The Environmental Working Group (EWG) releases a list every year to let you know what foods you should buy organic, as these dozen foods harbor the highest levels of pesticides of all your choices in the produce section. Always purchase these foods organic! On the other hand, they list 15 items that have the least amount of pesticide residue - so these need not be purchased organic.

Cooking School/Classes/Camps:

Looking for something productive

for your kids to do on summer break?

Whether it's young adults like these fine folks, elementary or older, I'll be happy to host a cooking class/series for you at your home or facility. We'll work together to choose your specific learning goals (and lots of fun, of course). You organize your group and we'll create from there.

These young people had six weeks together and then prepared a celebratory brunch for their families, from planning the menu, preparation, set-up and clean-up - and they did a fabulous job, with rave reviews from their families. Pick a theme (perhaps easy crockpot meals, one pan meals, vegetarian fare or something else of interest) - and we'll learn while doing!
