Dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus, part of the growing repentance remnant, cleansing as His Bride, getting ready for His soon return as our Bridegroom-----
As we honor Hanukkah, our brother in Yeshua, Chaim Malespin, is correct: the failure in Australia and other nations to deal with the inherent wickedness of islam amounts to cancer left untreated. Discover his webpage: http://www.faithfulgalileans.com Here's his overview:
Hanukkah is the festival of light—of Jewish survival against forces that sought to erase us.
Yet once again, light was met with violence.
At a Hanukkah gathering connected to the Jewish community in Sydney, Australia, a brutal attack shattered families, traumatized a nation, and sent shockwaves through Jewish communities worldwide. Children and elderly alike were among the victims—spanning generations that carry both the promise of Jewish continuity and the scars of Jewish history.
I understand now there are 16 murdered, and about 40 to 60 maybe even more injured.
From a young schoolgirl to a Holocaust survivor, the message was unmistakable: Jews are not spared—by age, memory, or innocence.
This was not an isolated incident.
It was not random.
And it was not unforeseeable.
Warnings Ignored
Months earlier, formal warnings were issued to the Australian government by our Prime Minister [ in Israel ] about the accelerating spread of antisemitism—warnings that described it accurately as a cancer left untreated.
Instead of confronting radicalization, incitement, and violent extremism, political leadership chose to recognize a Palestinian state—rewarding the very narratives that fuel Jew-hatred, while offering no meaningful protection to Jewish communities.
Appeasement has a cost.
And Jews keep paying it.
I’m so glad that there was at least one hero who arose and disarmed one terrorist.
A Disturbing Pattern
There is a pattern we can no longer ignore:
- Jewish holidays targeted by terror
- Public Jewish expression becoming a trigger for violence
- Known extremists previously flagged by security services
- Governments issuing condolences after blood is spilled
From Israel to Europe, from Australia to North America, Jewish visibility is being punished.
Hanukkah.
Synagogues.
Homes decorated with menorahs.
Community celebrations.
Light itself has become the target.
Intelligence Known. Action Absent.
Reports indicate that one of the attackers had previously been known to security services, with extremist ties examined years earlier.
And yet:
- He was free.
- He radicalized further.
- He struck.
This is not an intelligence failure.
This is a policy failure.
Rewarding Terror Never Produces Peace
In the aftermath, instead of accountability and decisive action, political leaders rushed to advance policies long known to embolden extremists, signaling that violence carries no consequence—only leverage.
This teaches terrorists one lesson:
Kill Jews, and the world moves closer to your demands.
That is not diplomacy.
That is surrender.
From Sydney to Amsterdam to California
Sydney is not alone.
- Jewish gatherings surrounded by hostile mobs in Europe
- Homes marked for attack during Jewish holidays
- In USA Shots fired at Jewish houses displaying Hanukkah symbols
The goal is clear:
Drive Jewish life underground in the West.
And too many progressive regimes are not merely indifferent—they are complicit.
“We Are the Eternal People”
President Isaac Herzog reminded Australian Jews—and Jews everywhere:
“We are the eternal people.”
We have outlived empires, ideologies, and tyrants.
We will outlive this too.
But survival must not come at the price of silence.
Never Again is not a slogan.
It is a responsibility.
I look back to Hanukkah 2000 years ago
The city was filled with excitement, as everyone was celebrating the Festival of Lights, also known as the Festival of Dedication. Yeshua entered Jerusalem and joined the celebrations at the Temple.
You see, about a hundred years earlier, the Seleucid Empire had conquered Judea (Israel) and heavily persecuted the people. They burned Torah scrolls and forbade the Jewish people from worshiping God. They even went so far as to set up an idol of Zeus in the Temple—God’s Temple!
One of the priestly families, called the Maccabees, led a revolt against this evil regime. Despite the odds being against them, they managed to regain freedom and autonomy from the Seleucid Empire.
One of the most important tasks after this victory was to cleanse and rededicate the Temple to God. They removed all the idols and purified it from all impurities.
One of the special elements of the Temple was the seven-branched lampstand. This lampstand required special oil, and in their search, they found only enough pure, kosher oil to keep it burning for one day. It would take eight days to press and prepare new oil. However, by a miracle, the oil burned for eight days! This was a miracle of light.
And there, during this festival, the greatest miracle of Light entered the Temple—Yeshua Himself.
Some recognized the Light, while others did not. There in the Temple, He was confronted by those who did not believe that God could come as a man.
Yeshua told them plainly that He and the Father are one. They could not see it. They saw Yeshua as merely a man.
Yeshua had to escape from them and went to the Jordan River, where John had once baptized many people. There, several Jewish locals gathered and their eyes were open. They believed that Yeshua was who He said He was!
I pray that this holiday season of light, we would have ears to hear the Shepherd, and eyes to see.

Happy Chanukah!
