Obviously, we do need a little more than just love to get through life, but when you have love in your life, it makes everything flow so much more effortlessly.

We love what we are creating here in Bakersfield. We love the clients, the community involvement, the transformation we get to witness everyday. We love our staff and watching each of them come together, learn from each other and blossom. We haven't even hit our two year mark, and we have so much in the works to better serve you!

New Classes & New Faces
Deepening your Practice with Rachel
Every other Tuesday Starting 2.6.18, 5:45-7:00PM
Rachel began her yoga practice 2010. Though her formal training is in Anusara yoga, her personal practice is grounded in Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Power Vinyasa. Rachel enjoys guiding strong flow classes, where students can cultivate strength, flexibility, and body awareness. She emphasizes alignment based postures, while encouraging her students to believe in their strength and explore their edge. 
Customized Massage with Barbara
Everyone, meet Barbara! Barbara is our newest massage therapist here at Samsara. For the month of February, we have a special going on for a 90 minute massage with her for only $90*. A perfect treat for yourself, a treat your lover or a friend for Valentines Day. We have gift cards, too! Call the studio to set up your appointment and of course, just come by to get a gift card if you'd like to treat a special someone.

We're thrilled to offer another free yoga in the courtyard for Bakersfield Second Saturday! This is open to all levels.
This month is taught by Linda Guerra and a few partner poses will be included. (partner not needed to attend!)
Intro to Yoga Workshop
2.10.18 - 1:00-3:00PM
This workshop will emphasis the foundations to creating a life long successful "flow" yoga practice for ALL ages, sizes and levels. Many people feel scared to try yoga because they think they can't do it, or that they aren't flexible enough. In this class we will show you how to safely and intelligently create a practice for your unique body. "Flow" yoga involves standing postures, seated postures, twists, balance and learning basic inversions.
Couples Thai Massage Workshop
2.10.18 - 4:00-6:00PM
Imagine your spine lengthening, your hips opening, your shoulders releasing, all without your doing a thing. Ah, this is the bliss of a Thai yoga massage. Thai massage can feel like a nurturing, effortless yoga practice in which your partner moves your body in and out gentle stretches, twists and backbends. The following sequence is an introduction to the art of Thai massage—and an appropriate offering to a friend, lover, or family member. To practice this sequence, both partners should be able to kneel to enjoy this workshop.
Pre-registration by Friday is required, and you must have a partner to join!
$30 each.

Dr. Linda Enemark
I found yoga during a stressful time of my life when I was looking for a way to deal with job stress and two family deaths. I remember driving away from my first classes feeling euphoric and very at peace! One of my teachers at that time, was Katherine. I enjoyed her teaching style and liked her classes more than any others.

My favorite pose is shoulder stand and the benefits of this pose are numerous. It stimulates the thyroid gland and helps with stress and depression in addition to strengthening many muscle groups!

Yoga helps me stay grounded and focused! I love coming to my mat and doing the best I can that day. No day is the same and as Stephen says, " I haven't practiced in a body this old before"!!!! I keep practicing for the all the mental and physical benefits. Being a chiropractor I understand the importance of strength and flexibility; at any age!
In my office I help patients in three main aspects. Spinal adjustments to relieve nerve irritation causing physical complaints such as neck or back pain. Secondly, I use Morphogenic Field Testing to identify physiological stressors that prevent healing. Once the stressors are identified, whole food nutritional supplements and herbs are recommended for healing. Lastly, I use Neurological Integration which is a system that ensures that neurological communication between the brain and the body is intact.

Lindzee's Recipe
Pau D' Arco Bark Milk contains NAD, the leading compound being researched for anti-aging properties, but it also has anti-cancer, anti-oxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties. It can be used as a base for smoothies or just drink or by a stand alone earthy, creamy tea. 

1) Mix 2 teaspoons Pau D' Arco tree bark with 8 oz of warm, clean water
2) Let it sit for about 10 hours
3) Blend the mixture with sunflower lecithin for 3 minutes
4) Strain and enjoy 

Throughout the month of February we will be making batches of this for you to sample!
