This month, we're highlighting how to claim and improve your organization's profile on Candid. Before you begin researching grant opportunities, make sure your organization's Candid profile tells your story. Many foundations and funders use Candid to learn about nonprofits, making an up-to-date profile an important part of your fundraising strategy.

Why Update Your Candid Profile?

• Increase your visibility. Your Candid profile is shared across more than 200 charitable platforms, helping donors and funders discover your organization.
• Build credibility. An updated profile—and earning a Candid Seal of Transparency—demonstrates your commitment to transparency and helps funders better understand your mission, programs, and impact.
• Save time during grant season. Keeping your mission, leadership, programs, financial information, and outcomes current means you'll have accurate information readily available when completing grant applications.
• Prepare for a stronger funding search. Once your profile is complete, you'll be ready to use Candid Search more effectively to identify funders that are a good match for your organization during our August 21 training.
