New Alcohol Law May Mean

Easier Access for Teens

Laws permitting restaurants to offer cocktails "to-go" began during the Covid-19 pandemic to support struggling restaurants by creating an additional revenue stream. Originally intended to be a temporary measure, cocktails "to-go" have become permanent in Illinois as of December 2025.


This new law can make it easier for young people to access alcohol – especially via delivery. This is a great opportunity for parents to have conversations with their young people about the risks of underage drinking.

Teens Prepared for Puberty Report

Fewer Mental Health Issues

New research suggests that teens who feel better-prepared to take on the challenges of puberty are more resilient and have a stronger sense of mental well-being. 


A recent study published in the Journal of Adolescence suggests that teens who understand the changes caused by puberty will be more confident in handling those changes, a concept called pubertal self-efficacy.
