Looking Under the Hood of Marin's Electrification Roadmap

Explore the workings of Marin's new Electrification Roadmap with Marin Sustainability Team Planning Manager Dana Armanino.

How can the Roadmap get us to zero net carbon by 2045 by zeroing out the fossil fuels we burn in our homes, businesses and cars? (Over a quarter of countywide greenhouse gas emissions come from buildings, and over half from transportation.)

How will the Roadmap be rolled out for adoption by the County and all Marin's towns and cities? How can citizens strengthen the process where they live?

How will the plan prepare Marin residents for the phase-out of defunct gas appliances mandated by the Air Quality District, starting in 2027 (for water heaters) and 2029 (for furnaces)? Is information enough? Are financial incentives adequate? Would building audits at time-of-sale help people prepare for this climate-essential transition?

Bring your questions and show your support.
