Jennifer Thornton has been named Vice President of Trade Policy at BRT. An experienced litigator with expertise in U.S. trade policy and international investment arbitration, Jennifer previously served as Trade Counsel for the U.S. House Committee on Ways & Means and as Counsel of International Trade for Arent Fox. Earlier, Jennifer held progressively responsible roles in the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. Previously Jennifer practiced law for ten years representing both sovereign and corporate clients in international arbitration and investment disputes in New York and Washington, D.C.

John-Michael Donahue has joined BRT as Vice President of Communications. John-Michael previously served as Vice President of North American Public Affairs at the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA). Earlier in his career, John-Michael was a Senior Account Executive at the D.C. based government and public affairs consultancy firm DCI Group, and also held U.S. campaign and communications roles with Global Zero.

Karen Bailey-Chapman has been appointed Senior Vice President of Public and Government Affairs at Specialty Equipment Market Association. Karen has two decades of private sector public affairs experience and a proven record of success at the local, state, federal and global levels. Most recently Karen served as Senior Vice President of External Affairs at American Beverage Association. Earlier, Karen held senior roles with Penn National Gaming and the D.C. based public affairs firm DCI Group. Karen began her career in advocacy working for several not-for-profits including the Center for Individual Freedom, Americans for Tax Reform, and the Institute for Justice.

Mary Moore Hamrick has been appointed as the Don Evans Managing Director of Domestic Policy at The George W. Bush Presidential Center. She most recently served as CEO at Political Quotient Advisors as well as a Senior Fellow at UNC’s Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise. Prior to that Mary Moore served as the Chief Public Policy Officer at Grant Thornton. Earlier in her career, she served as Counsel to the U.S. House Committee on Energy & Commerce. Mary Moore serves on a variety of boards and organizations including the Public Affairs Council, Business-Government Relations Council, and the Carlton Club.
