Wayne White is the new President and Chief Executive Officer at the Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT). CFT is one of the nation's largest community foundations and serves as a catalyst for charitable giving by connecting donors with nonprofit organizations in Texas. Wayne is a seasoned business and nonprofit executive who drives the organization’s strategic direction and provides leadership and management oversight to a highly talented, motivated, and diverse staff. Most recently, Wayne served as Executive Vice President at the American Cancer Society. 

Mike McCarthy

Mike McCarthy is the new Executive Director at the Pentagon Memorial Fund (PMF). Mike provides strategic leadership in fundraising for a preservation endowment of the 9/11 Pentagon Memorial and he provides continuing educational opportunities through the design and construction of the 9/11 Pentagon Memorial Visitor Education Center (VEC); a space where visitors can learn about the events of 9/11, the lives lost, and the historic significance of the Pentagon Memorial site. Mike has more than 30 years of nonprofit and for-profit experience. He most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Carnegie Institution for Science, a nonprofit research organization with a $1 billion endowment. 

Amy Shuart

Amy Shuart is the new Vice President, Policy – Innovation & Technology at Business Roundtable, Inc. (BRT). She serves as the primary expert and advisor on matters relating to innovation and technology policy formation and is the primary liaison with government institutions. Amy brings over fifteen years of public policy experience to the role. Most recently, she served as the Head of U.S. Government Affairs & Policy at Onfido. Prior to Onfido, Amy worked on Capitol Hill for over a decade, most recently as the Social Security Subcommittee Staff Director for the Committee on Ways and Means.

Matt Mika

Matt Mika is the new Vice President, Advocacy and Government Affairs at AmericanHort, a national association with a mission to support the horticulture industry through advocacy, collaboration, connectivity, education, market development, and research. Matt is an experienced government affairs executive who serves as a key member of AmericanHort’s executive leadership team and leads all government affairs and lobbying efforts of the Association. Matt brings over 20 years of government affairs experience to the role. Most recently, Matt served as the Vice President of Government Affairs at Atlas Crossing.

ICI is the leading global association of regulated funds, including mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), closed-end funds, and unit investment trusts (UITs) in the U.S. and worldwide. Our placement, Lori Kearns, has a strong policy background acquired from 10+ years of experience on Capitol Hill. Most recently, she served as Policy Director for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), and earlier as Staff Director of the Subcommittee on Primary Health and Retirement Security of the Senate HELP Committee.
