Appalachian Trail Shared Ministry Expands
The second year of our AT initiative has gotten off to an wonderful start. We are seeing young hikers from a local camp and thru-hikers from as far away as New Zealand. The need for serving folks on the trail and the enthusiasm of volunteers has caused us to open up a new session on Monday, which Pastor Jill Graham has volunteered to coordinate. Email
Jill
if you would like to get involved on Mondays.
The other way that you may help is to donate
Big Y
gift cards. Big Y is only a few miles from our site near Lime Kiln. We have had more hiking visitors than we expected and it costs about $50/day to provide provisions. Please be as generous as you can. You may drop off the gift cards in the offering on Sunday morning at church, or mail them in. An amazing new tent structure has just been erected which provides much more shade than we had last year.

Wayfinders
Want to have FUN connecting your faith to your Monday-Saturday life? Come join the Wayfinders team at Christ Trinity this fall! Wayfinders is a program which encourages every Christian to listen to where God is calling them next, and then - crucially - supports them as they take steps to answer that call.
On a Wayfinders team, you first attend a weekend retreat to listen for God’s voice, asking yourself “where is God calling me next at this particular moment in my life?”
Because everyone is at a different place in life, people’s answers can be as different as “finally balancing my checkbook” to “joining the fight against human trafficking.” Some teammates have been called to write a book, or join a band, or to join (or start!) a ministry that has always tugged at their heart. Some Wayfinders who are in a rough patch have discerned with God a need to take some much needed Sabbath time.
Once you’ve discerned your goal, that’s where the action starts! You are going to be on a team of fellow Wayfinders who meet together for 8 meetings to give each other accountability and support as they bring their “holy goals” to life, small step by small step.
Wayfinders is free, is fun, and builds tremendous fellowship among the teammates as they help each other get a little bit closer to where God wants them to be. Note: there is a $35 materials fee - with scholarships available.

Everyone loves pie!
The Parish Fair is looking forward to having a really great Bake Table this year- with, of course, a little help from all our talented friends.
As fresh produce comes into season, think about dusting off that old canner and processing some jams, jellies, and pickles. Relishes and chutneys welcome too.
From the garden, bring in zucchini, tomatoes, peppers and peaches and blueberries if you have some to spare.
Or - take a few minutes and put some zinnias or hydrangeas in a Mason jar or colorful coffee can. They’ll look great on the table.
Baked goods are our stock in trade, so dig out those family recipes that everyone loves and package them attractively. Bake ahead and freeze cookies, small cakes, pies, brownies, muffins.
Many thanks!!
