The draft Cannabis Social Equity and Economic Development (SEED) Code Amendment package was presented as an informational workshop to the Planning Commission on Thursday, June 8. The San Diego City Council-adopted cannabis equity assessment is the basis for the proposed cannabis SEED code amendments. In addition, the Cannabis Business Division (CBD) has created this map to illustrate the proposed changes included as part of the proposed code amendment package. The map includes a comparison of what the change to the sensitive receptors would be if they were changed from 1,000 feet to 600 feet. CBD will be taking public comments on the proposed amendments thru June 21, 2023, at 4 p.m. Please send comments to DSDCannabis@sandiego.gov.
On July 13, CBD staff will be presenting an informational item at the Land Use and Housing Council Committee. More information will be provided closer to the date of the presentation.
