CISD in the Top 10 Statewide!
The UIL Lone Star Cup highlights the top academic, athletic, and fine arts programs across Texas, and our CISD schools are leading the way!
Out of more than 200 schools in Conference 4A, Randall High School, the back-to-back Lone Star Cup champions, is currently ranked #3. Canyon High stands strong at #4, and West Plains High joins the top 10 at #9!
This early update shows our schools are excelling in all areas, and we’re excited to see how the year unfolds!

Strategic Plan Update
Canyon ISD is growing!
Our enrollment now stands at 11,472 students, up 146 from last year.
This school year has been a milestone for the district as we launched the first year of our Strategic Plan, our roadmap for the next 3-5 years. This plan reflects the vision of our community, and we’ve already seen great progress in aligning our efforts with its goals.

This event, held at the Conference Center at Happy State Bank Stadium, is your chance to learn about managing finances, preparing for college, and making smart financial decisions.

CISD Trade Days – Tuesday, February 4th
Join us February 4th from 10am-noon at the Conference Center at Happy State Bank Stadium for the first-ever Canyon ISD Trade Days.
This event connects junior and senior students with local businesses to explore career opportunities in trades and certifications. Encourage your student to attend and take a step toward lifelong success!

Competitive Edge Week – Tuesday, February 18th-20th
Get ready for Competitive Edge Week! This district-wide event builds essential skills like communication, teamwork, and problem-solving for students of all ages.
A highlight is Senior Interview Week, where seniors practice real-world skills in mock interviews with community members.

Through their efforts, the Foundation funds grants and programs that enhance learning and inspire excellence in our schools. Their commitment plays a vital role in empowering lifelong success for CISD.

The Heart of CISD: The Foundation for Lifelong Success
The Education Foundation of Canyon ISD is transforming classrooms and inspiring students through their record-breaking generosity.
This year, they awarded $50,713.55 in grants to 22 educators across 15 campuses—the highest amount in Foundation history. From PE equipment to STEAM resources, these grants are empowering teachers to bring creative, hands-on learning opportunities to life for our students.

The Foundation’s success is a true community effort, made possible by local businesses, donors, and dedicated volunteers who believe in empowering lifelong success for CISD.
