Truth and Reconciliation Learning Circle
Bi-weekly starting October 1, 2025 | Noon - 1:30 p.m. PST
Join CapU Alumni Relations and Indigenous Education & Affairs for a virtual book club exploring Wînipêk by Niigaan Sinclair. Open to CapU alumni, staff, and invited community members this October, our facilitators will offer guided discussions focused on Indigenous identity, treaty relationships and reconciliation.

CUAA AGM and Our Earth Film Festival

Join us for the Welcome Reception and Annual General Meeting of the Capilano University Alumni Association — an evening of connection, updates and celebration.

A Canadian expat’s destiny of linguistic namesakes in China
Alumnus David Nagy, born in Montreal’s Lachine (“China” in French), has spent nearly 30 years in China and is now managing partner at DHR Global in Shanghai. His birthplace’s name proved a fitting prelude to a lifelong passion for China’s culture and transformation.

CapU Board of Governors member Troy MacBeth Abromaitis (Lex7em’ken Drynock) has received a Medal of Good Citizenship from the Government of British Columbia for his contributions to rebuilding Lytton and honouring Indigenous survivors.
