The last Breakfast and Banking session for the summer interns was held on Friday, August 2 at the Dennis Banking Center. Adrian Sullivan, Chief Digital Officer, Jason Lilly, Chief Wealth Management Officer, Stephen Johannessen, Treasurer and Kevin Mooney, Director of Information Technology Management, spoke to the interns about their respective departments and their personal career journeys.

On Thursday, August 8 Taryn Wilson, Director of Fraud Prevention, facilitated a Fraud Prevention and Financial Scams seminar hosted by the Brewster Council on Aging. During the seminar, Taryn shared with attendees the latest information and answered questions regarding financial scams currently impacting our community. Additionally, she shared how individuals can best protect themselves and provided guidance on what to do if they believe they have been a victim of fraud or a scam. Taryn will also be presenting on Fraud Prevention during the Q3 Regional Meetings.

Several Cape Cod 5 employees volunteered at the Animal Rescue League of Boston's Brewster Shelter last week. The volunteers helped hand out pet supplies to pet owners affected by the tornadoes that touched down on Cape Cod in July. They also helped with filing, organizing and cleaning and had the opportunity to meet some of the animals at the shelter. 

On Monday, August 5 Cape Cod 5 was the presenting sponsor of the Chatham Chamber of Commerce and its Merchants Association Mondays on Main event, which is held every Monday in July and August. The events feature live music and entertainment at many of the shops, restaurants and businesses along Main Street in Chatham. The Chatham Banking Center hosted a band outside and had games, refreshments and giveaways for attendees.

The Chatham Chamber of Commerce held an After Hours Member Connect event on Wednesday, August 7 at Stillwater Garden Studio in Chatham. Cape Cod 5 employees attended on behalf of the Chamber to network with business professionals from the area.
