Cape Cod Electric Car Show
|
Cape Cod 5 was a sponsor of the Cape Cod Electric Car Show and Drive Experience/Home Energy Efficiency Showplace, which took place on Saturday, September 14 at the Barnstable Municipal Airport. The event featured test drives of electric vehicles, the opportunity to speak with EV car owners and representatives from environmental and energy organizations to learn how to reduce your carbon footprint and energy bills. Cape Cod 5 employees attended the event, staffed the Bank's table and handed out promotional items to attendees.

Bluecoats of Barnstable Annual Meeting
|
The Bluecoats of Barnstable Annual Meeting took place on Wednesday, September 11, at the Oyster Harbors Club. During the Meeting, Dorothy Savarese, President and CEO, was sworn in as a new founding member of the organization. Stan Hodkinson, Government Banking Officer and past President of the organization, was re-inducted as Treasurer for a second year.
The Bluecoats of Barnstable is a non-profit charitable organization that provides financial support to the family of a Barnstable police officer who has fallen or become incapacitated in the line of duty. The organization also provides funding to the Barnstable Police Department for the purchase of equipment, training and other items that are not funded within their annual budget.

Seaside Le Mans - The Race for the Cape Cod Community
|
As a sponsor of the 19th Annual Seaside Le Mans, a team from Cape Cod 5 participated in the fast-paced Formula One race, which raised over $600,000 for five nonprofit organizations. Proceeds from this year's race, which took place on Saturday, September 7 at Mashpee Commons, benefited Cape Cod Healthcare, Cape Wellness Collaborative, Children's Cove, Heroes in Transition and Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. This year, the Cape Cod 5 team took home the Bank Cup.

Cape Cod Foundation Falmouth Fund 10 Year Anniversary Event
|
On Thursday, September 5, the Cape Cod Foundation held its Falmouth Fund 10 Year Anniversary Event at the Woods Hole Golf Club. Over the past 10 yeards, the Falmouth Fund has awarded nearly $500,000 in grants to more than 70 nonprofit organizations working to improve and enrich the community. Members of the Mashpee/Falmouth Relationship Team attended the event, which was sponsored in part by Cape Cod 5.

The Boys and Girls Club of Plymouth Run to the Rock
|
The Boys and Girls Club of Plymouth held its 25th Annual Run to the Rock on Saturday, September 7, which featured a 5K, 10K and half marathon, all ending at Plymouth Rock. Cape Cod 5 was a sponsor of the race, which helps support the Club's programs for Plymouth Area Youth. Kareem Sanjaghi, Residential Mortgage Loan Officer, came in first place overall in the 5K.

Wounded Warrior Project Soldier Ride
|
The Wounded Warrior Project held its 2019 Soldier Ride Cape Cod on Thursday, September 12 along the Shining Sea Bikeway in Falmouth. The Soldier Ride provides wounded veterans the opportunity to use cycling to overcome physical, mental and emotional injuries. Cape Cod 5 was a sponsor of the event and Bank employees went to cheer on veterans during the ride.
