All-School Multicultural Luncheon Enjoyed by the
Cape Cod Academy Community

Cape Cod Academy's Annual Multicultural Potluck Luncheon was held on Wednesday. With more than 25 countries represented, our students in all grades had the opportunity to sample a variety of international foods honoring the dozens of international cultures represented at our school. The event was so popular that many students asked if families would share their recipes for the dishes served at the luncheon. If you would share your recipes via this form here, we will compile them into a cookbook.
Academic Planning Night for Parents and Students Entering Grades 10-12 in the Fall

Please join us on Wednesday, April 12 at 6:00 p.m. for the Academic Planning Night sponsored by the College Counseling Office. Parents and students entering grades 10-12 this fall will learn about the importance of carefully selecting courses that will ensure each student is in the best place as he/she begins the college application process. We will discuss how to choose classes, not only based on a specific level, but taking into consideration each student's interests, potential future plans, and graduation requirements. The information presented will help students and parents prepare for success in Cape Cod Academy's upper school and beyond. RSVP via the button below by April 11th. If you have any questions, please contact Meg Farley, Director of College Counseling, at mfarley@capecodacademy.org.

AROUND CAMPUS
Middle School Students Enjoying PAL Fridays
Last Friday was the first of many PAL (Personalized Approach to Learning) Fridays where our middle schoolers expand their hands-on learning experiences. This spring, each middle school class will spend two Fridays exploring topics that have curricular ties, rigor, and choice of activities. On March 31, our seventh graders tested water at Skunknett River Wildlife Sanctuary with Tracy Lindboe from the Waterworks Museum in Boston. The students tested oxygen levels, turbidity, pH and temperature. They also explored PFAS, local fish, and wastewater treatment. This is part of the students’ focus on water issues in ponds, rivers, bays, and wells to better understand how complex science-related issues affect our community and lifestyles.
Second Graders Visit New Bedford Whaling Museum

On Thursday, our second graders visited the New Bedford Whaling Museum to complement their studies of the whaling industry.
