Cape Cod Academy Recognized on 2023 AP Honor Roll
The College Board has announced the inclusion of Cape Cod Academy on the prestigious AP School Honor Roll and awarded CCA a “Gold” distinction this year. The award recognizes schools that are “committed to creating a college-going culture, providing students with opportunities to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness through academic rigor.”
|
The AP School Honor Roll, which designates Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum awards, is calculated each fall based on data from the College Board from the previous year’s graduating class. This underscores Cape Cod Academy's dedication to preparing our students to be successful in college and beyond.
AP Access Award
Additionally, Cape Cod Academy earned the AP Access Award, which honors schools that demonstrate a clear and effective commitment to equitable access to advanced coursework. Schools earn the additional award if the percentage of AP Exam takers who are underrepresented minority and/or low-income students mirrors the school's overall student demographics.

Weather Attire is Necessary for All Lower School Students
Please make sure that your child is wearing warm and appropriate clothing to school. We continue to go outside as often as possible and students should have boots, hats, mittens, and warm coats for the winter weather. They should also have shoes to change into instead of wearing their boots for the day. Extra clothes in backpacks is always a good idea at this time of the year with the unpredictable and ever-changing weather. As long as the wind chill temperature is above 21 degrees Fahrenheit, lower school recess will be held outdoors.

National French Week
French students celebrated the twenty-first annual National French Week. This week-long celebration of all things French took place in schools, communities, and AATF chapters across the U.S. from November 1-8, 2023.
| |
Our students took French out of the classroom and demonstrated all the reasons to learn French for six days. The week-long celebration started with La Cuisine where they spent the whole day at the Conference Center cooking, tasting French recipes, playing games, and answering short quizzes. Day 2 started with Science & Technology where they learned about famous French scientists and enjoyed an ice cream party. Day 3 was Arts & History where they learned about the history of France, French Artists, and enjoyed art works and Bingo games. Days 4 & 5 were dedicated to Music, Sports, & Games where they learned about the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics and played a variety of board games. During the last day students watched a French movie and enjoyed a popcorn party.
| |
Additionally, students had the chance to participate in The National Francophone "Trivia Contest" which consisted of answering 25 trivia questions about a wide variety of cultures and perspectives from all over the Francophone world. Eleo Abi Assaad who secured the top spot in Level A (Beginner) and Jameson Cassidy who secured the top spot in Level B (Intermediate/Advanced) are eligible for the final round. Congratulations!
