Important Reminders

Next week, we celebrate our seniors, and there are several important activities taking place. Next Friday is Senior Day, which will also include a Cum Laude Society Induction Ceremony, Class of 2022 speech by a senior, and a yearbook dedication, followed by an ice cream truck!

Monday, May 2nd will be Moving-Up Day for eighth graders. All eighth-grade students will visit ninth-grade classes, meet teachers, and get a closer look at a day in the life of a ninth grader. Thursday, May 5th will be Moving-Up Day for fifth graders. All current fifth graders will visit sixth-grade classrooms, meet teachers and students, and see what the middle school experience is like at Cape Cod Academy. We are excited to welcome students to the next division as we look forward to our next school year.

Remember: If you are traveling for any reason and you know that your child will be out of school for an extended period of time (more than two days), please notify Reception at, and your child's teachers. If your child is going to be out due to illness, please be sure to notify Gina Smith, the school nurse, at
All-School Field Day

All-School Field Day 2022 will be on Friday, May 27th from 11:30 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. We look forward to this tradition of wrapping up the year with camaraderie and healthy competition between our Team Blue and Team White members.

We are looking for volunteers to help in our grill station to provide lunch for the community. Please sign up here if you can help. If your child has grown out of his/her field day shirt, there is an inventory of replacement shirts for $10 at the reception desk. If you have a question about what field day team your child is on, visit the Resource Board on our website to view the team rosters.

Citizen of the Week
Leonora Hailer '30

Congratulations to Leonora Hailer for being named Citizen of the Week! She is always cheerful and helpful. She comes in the door with a smile and an optimistic approach to the day. Her honesty is well known. For example, earlier this week, she found a $20 bill on the hallway floor and told her teacher about it. That teacher was able to return the $20 to its very grateful owner. This example represented several of the pillars of Cape Cod Academy all at once - honesty, compassion, and respect.
Young Inventors Recognized

Congratulations to Henry Yerkes '31, Sasha Bronov '31, and Luca Coppa '31 for winning a Merit Award in the 2022 Massachusetts Invention Convention!
