UPPER SCHOOL NEWS
CCA Juniors Begin the College Search Process

We kicked off the college search process with CCA juniors this week with a class meeting.
As a starting point, juniors were asked to complete surveys, profiles, and set up individual meetings with the college counselors. In the coming weeks, our juniors will be able to participate in the following:

Virtual College Panel
In March, we will be hosting a virtual college panel, during which admission experts from admission offices across the country will share their insights into the college admission process and be available to answer our students’ questions.

College Counseling Class
During the spring trimester, the junior class will meet with the college counselors on a weekly basis to discuss aspects of the college process. They will build resumes, search college resources, discuss financial aid and scholarships, write a draft of their college essays, and more. The course has been a valuable tool in delivering general information about applying to college as a complement to the personalized approach we will take in our individual meetings.

Course Selection
Mrs. Boyle will speak with students about their course options for next year. The college counselors will also be involved in this discussion and are happy to help students map out a senior course schedule that meets their strengths and sets each junior up for success in the college process.

SATs
Mark your calendar for April 27, when juniors will have the chance to take the SAT, and set aside time to review for the test on Khan Academy regularly between now and April.
